It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Marvel Omnibus fans – time for the Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 13th Annual Secret Ballot! This post explains every Star Wars omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.
I’ll be covering Marvel’s entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your Marvel oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 13th Annual Secret Ballot on Near Mint Condition on April 28, 2025.
There’s always money in Star Wars, and in 2025 Marvel announced four omnibuses – two in current canon (Star Wars: Doctor Aphra: Friends & Enemies & Star Wars: Crimson Reign) and two in Legends retired canon (Star Wars Legends: The Old Republic Vol. 2 & Star Wars Legends: The Rebellion Vol. 3).
While there remains an open-ended potential for omnis in current Star Wars canon, there’s a finite amount of Legends material. Ignoring the far-future “Legacy,” we need only six more Legends omnibus volumes to cover the remaining Dark Horse Comics material – plus however many we need to collect all of Clone Wars Adventures.
If you’re not sure of what to vote for, stick around for a list of books vetted by a gang of the biggest mapping nerds on the internet with explanations from yours truly – keeper of the most-definitive guides to Marvel’s collected editions on the planet.
Or, if you don’t care about omnibuses, just use this post to learn about Marvel’s history and find some great comics to read!

Remember: These titles and mappings are a suggestion of how Marvel could assemble these books. They are meant to help you decide on your votes on the Tigereyes poll. Your vote on the poll is a vote in favor of Marvel creating a book with that title or covering that period, NOT an endorsement of a specific map. Maps are presented as a proof of concept and to help you build your personal reading list.

Marvel Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: High Republic Era
Marvel has been very aggressive in collecting their High Republic era through this point, with a pair of very slim omnibuses for each of Phase I and Phase II. Now with the end of the era approaching in just a few months, it seems we just need two more books to wrap up this period in its entirety. See Guide to Star Wars Expanded Universe Comics for more information.
Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Phases I, II, & III (2023 – 2025) [IDW & Dark Horse YA comics]
Throughout the High Republic eras, first IDW and then Dark Horse has published a series of delightful and easily accessible High Republic Adventures comics that exist in canon. At many different points in this period, I’ve enjoyed these comics much, more more than the main Marvel comics!
This would collect a truly massive amount of material, and it might make sense to break it into a Phase I & II book and a Phase III book.
This would collect Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures (2021) #1-13, Annual 1, & Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular (2022) #1; Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures (2023) #1-8; Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III (2023) #1-20, Annual 1, The Marriage of Lula and Zeen (2024) #1 Crash Landing #1, Crash and Burn #1; Star Wars: High Republic Adventures Phase III – Echoes of Fear (2024) #1-4, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III – Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone (2024) #1-4, & Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Saber for Hire (2025) OGN.
If this was split into multiple volumes, could add Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – The Nameless Terror (2023) #1-4, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – The Monster of Temple Peak (2021) #1-4.
Star Wars: The High Republic Phase III (2023 – 2025)
This would follow the trend of Marvel releasing brief “Phase” complete omnibuses after the close of each portion of High Republic comics.
This would collect Star Wars: The High Republic Phase III (2023) #1-8, Star Wars: Revelations (2023) #1 (High Republic story), Star Wars: The Acolyte (2024) #1, Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight (2023) #1-4, and Star Wars: The High Republic – Fear of the Jedi (2025) #1-5.
Marvel Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Prequel Era
Marvel’s modern Star Wars Universe hasn’t included too many prequel-era comics prior to Star Wars – Jedi Knights (2025). That means the material up to this point is ripe for a complete collection!
Star Wars: The Prequel-Era Mini-Series (2016 & on) [Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan & Anakin, Jango Fett, Jedi Fallen Order, Inquisitors]
This would collect Star Wars: Inquisitors (2024) #1-4, Star Wars: Jango Fett (2024) #1-4, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order – Dark Temple (2019) #1-5, Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu #1-5, Star Wars: Mace Windu (2024) #1-4, Star Wars: Obi-Wan (2022) #1-5, Obi-Wan & Anakin (2016) #1-5, Star Wars: Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary Special (2024) #1.
It’s possible this could add all of Kanan – The Last Padawan (2015) #1-12, but generally we have not seen Marvel double-dip or expand a Star Wars omnibus up to this point.
It’s also possible this could collect Star Wars: Age of Republic (2019) one-shots included Anakin Skywalker (2019), Count Dooku (2019), Darth Maul (2018), General Grievous (2019), Jango Fett (2019), Obi-Wan Kenobi (2019), Padme Amidala (2019), Qui-Gon Jinn (2018), and Special (2019).
Marvel Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: from A New Hope to Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: The Episode 4.5 Mini-Series (2015 – 2018) [Chewbacca, Han Solo, Lando, Lando – Double or Nothing, Princess Leia, Tie Fighter]
This would collect Chewbacca (2015) #1-5, Han Solo (2016) #1-5, Lando (2015) #1-5, Lando – Double or Nothing (2018) #1-5, Princess Leia (2015) #1-5, and Star Wars: Tie Fighter (2019) #1-5.
It’s also possible this could collect Star Wars: Age of Rebellion (2019) one-shots included Boba Fett (2019), Darth Vader (2019), Grand Moff Tarkin (2019), Han Solo (2019), Jabba the Hutt (2019), Lando Calrissian (2019), Luke Skywalker (2019), Princess Leia (2019), and Special (2019.
Marvel Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: from Empire Strikes back to Return of the Jedi
Beginning with a line relaunch in 2020 and ending at the start of 2025, Marvel’s ongoing Star Wars comics focused almost entirely on the period between Episodes 4-5. Now that all of these series have reached a definitive conclusion, they can be entirely collected in omnibus!
One series, Doctor Aphra (2020), has already been completely collected. See Guide to Star Wars Expanded Universe Comics for more information.
Star Wars: Star Wars (2020) by Charles Soule (2020 – 2024)
Charles Soule wrote the entirety of this series primarily focused on the unit of Luke, Leia, and Lando. It explored Luke’s discovery of more of the force and Lando’s reckoning with his past – both welcome additions to the lore between Episodes 5-6.
This would collect Star Wars (2020) #1-50, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha (2021) #1,material from Star Wars: Revelations (2022) #1, and and a story from Free Comic Book Day 2024 – Star Wars.
Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) by Greg Pak (2020 – 2024)
Greg Pak wrote the entirety of this series exploring Darth Vader’s struggle between his humanity and his power. As the revelation of Luke reverberates through all of his plots, he finds himself manipulated repeatedly by Palpatine – but, perhaps in a way that plants a kernel of resistance within him that will blossom in Episode 6.
This would collect Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) #1-50, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha (2021) #1, Star Wars: Dark Droids (2023) #1-5, Star Wars: Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary Special (2024) #1 (also written by Pak), material from Star Wars: Revelations (2023) #1, and the Vader story from Free Comic Book Day 2024 – Star Wars, which fits prior to #46.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunters (2020 – 2024)
Bounty Hunters was the third of four major Star Wars ongoings of this period, written by Ethan Sacks.
This would collect Star Wars: Bounty Hunters (2020) #1-42, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha (2021) #1, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters (2021) #1-5 and one-shots (Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters – Jabba the Hutt (2021) #1, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters – 4-Lom & Zuckuss (2021) #1, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters – Boushh (2021) #1, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters – IG-88 (2021) #1), and maybe also Star Wars: Dark Droids – D-Squad (2023) #1-5
Star Wars: Hidden Empire (Event) (2022 – 2023) [a line-wide event period]
This would collect Star Wars: Hidden Empire (2022) #1-5, Star Wars: Revelations (2022) #1, and Star Wars (2020) #26-36 (may move one arc to Dark Droids), Star Wars: Bounty Hunters (2020) #24-34, Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) #25-36 (may move one arc to Dark Droids), and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra (2020) #22-31
Star Wars: Dark Droids (2023 – 2024) [a line-wide event omni]
This would collect Star Wars: Dark Droids (2023) #1-5, Star Wars: Dark Droids – D-Squad (2023) #1-5, and roughly Star Wars (2020) #37-41, Star Wars: Bounty Hunters (2020) #35-42 (may start one arc earlier for context), Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) #37-41 (may start one arc earlier for context), and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra (2020) #32-40 (not all of those issues may have been tie-ins, but they were collected in the tie-in titled trades).
Marvel Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: After Return of the Jedi
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Aftermath (2024 – 2025) [AKA Battle of Jakku & Ewoks (2024)]
We’ve so far had three major comic stories directly in the aftermath of Jedi – Shattered Empire, the Battle of Jakku, and Ewoks. Shattered Empire occurs from 4ABY – 5ABY, at about the same time as the other two stories even though it was released a decade prior.
This would collect Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Shattered Empire (2015) #1-4, Star Wars: Battle of Jakku – Insurgency Rising (2024) #1-4, Star Wars: Battle of Jakku – Republic Under Siege (2024) #1-4, and Star Wars: Battle of Jakku – Last Stand (2024) #1-4, and Star Wars: Ewoks (2024) #1-4
Star Wars: Poe Dameron by Charles Soule & Phil Noto (2016 – 2018)
We jump from Poe Dameron’s parents being key members of the resistance in the prior omnibus to Poe’s time as a pilot prior to The Force Awakens in this omnibus.
This would collect Star Wars: Poe Dameron (2016) #1-31 & Annual 1.
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Canon Omnibuses, by title
Star Wars: Darth Maul (2014 & on)
This would collect Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir (2014) #1-4 (but not material from Star Wars Tales (1999) #7-9), Star Wars: Darth Maul (2017) #1-5. Age of Republic – Darth Maul (2018) #1, and Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red (2024) #1-4
It would not collect other Darth Maul content from prior to 2014, because it is now Legends material that is no longer considered canonical. However, Son of Dathomir was grandfathered into Marvel-era canon.
He also appears in Star Wars: Age of Republic – Obi-Wan Kenobi (2019) #1, Star Wars: Age of Republic – Count Dooku (2019) #1, and Star Wars Adventures (2020) #3.
Star Wars: The Age of Star Wars (2019) [collects Age of Republic, Age of Rebellion, Age of Resistance]
In 2019, Marvel released a staggering series of one-shots across the Star Wars line set in three periods – the prequel trilogy Age of Republic, the original trilogy Age of Rebellion, and the sequel trilogy Age of Resistence.
While the former two sets of one-shots could be collected alongside mini-series of their respective trilogy eras, there’s not yet enough material from the sequel trilogy period to warrant a limited series omnibus of that period. Until we have that, instead we’ll list this collection entirely of one-shots on the poll.
This would collect Star Wars: Age of Republic (2019) one-shots included Anakin Skywalker (2019), Count Dooku (2019), Darth Maul (2018), General Grievous (2019), Jango Fett (2019), Obi-Wan Kenobi (2019), Padme Amidala (2019), Qui-Gon Jinn (2018), and Special (2019).
Star Wars: Age of Rebellion (2019) one-shots included Boba Fett (2019), Darth Vader (2019), Grand Moff Tarkin (2019), Han Solo (2019), Jabba the Hutt (2019), Lando Calrissian (2019), Luke Skywalker (2019), Princess Leia (2019), and Special (2019.
Star Wars: Age of Resistance (2019) one-shots included Captain Phasma (2019), Finn (2019), General Hux (2019), Kylo Ren (2019), Poe Dameron (2019), Rey (2019), Rose Tico (2019), Supreme Leader Snoke (2019), and Age of Resistance Special (2019).
Star Wars: The Disney+ Adaptions (2022 & on) [Mandalorian S1-2, Asohka, Obi-Wan]
This would collect Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi (2023) #1-6, Star Wars: The Mandalorian (2022) #1-8, Star Wars: The Mandalorian 2 (2023) #1-8, and Star Wars: Ahsoka (2024) #1-8.
To date there have been no adaptations of Boba Fett or The Acolyte, so it might make sense to wait until they are produced.
Star Wars Legends: The Skywalker Saga Movie Adaptions (1977 – 2025)
This would collect Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) #1/2, & 1-4, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones #1-4, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) #1-4, Star Wars (1977) #1-6 (Episode IV: A New Hope), Star Wars (1977) #39-44 (Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back), Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) #1-4, Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation (2016) #1-6, Star Wars: The Last Jedi Adaptation (2018) #1-6, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation (2025) #1-5.
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends – The Old Republic Omnibuses
This era is now complete collected in omnibus. See Guide to Star Wars Legends.
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends – The Menace Revealed Omnibuses
This period occurs entirely between Episodes 1 and 2. The “Rise of the Sith” period that directly precedes this era is already completely collected by a single omnibus. See Guide to Star Wars Legends.
Star Wars Legends: The Menace Revealed Vol. 1 (1999 – 2005)
This would very likely collect the contents of the first two Epic Collections of the same title.
This would collects Star Wars: Jango Fett – Open Seasons #1-4; Star Wars (1998) #7-35; and material from Star Wars Tales #8, 13, & 21-24, Dark Horse Extra #35-37, and Dark Horse Presents Annual 2000
Star Wars Legends: The Menace Revealed Vol. 2 (1999 – 2005)
This would very likely collect the contents of the final two Epic Collections of the same title. After issue #45, Star Wars (1998) is renamed to Star Wars Republic (2002). Note that although some issues of Star Wars Tales may be the same as in Volume 11, the material collected is different.
This would collect Star Wars (1998) #36-45, Star Wars: Jedi Quest (2001) #1-4, Star Wars: Jango Fett (2002) #1, Star Wars: Zam Wesell (2002) #1, Star Wars: The Bounty Hunter – Aurra Sing #1, Star Wars: Starfighter – Crossbones #1-3, Free Comic Book Day 2002 – Star Wars #1, Star Wars: Republic: #46-48, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones #1-4, Star Wars: Hasbro/Toys’R’Us Exclusive #1-4, and material from Dark Horse Extra #44-47 and Star Wars Tales #2, 7, 14, 18, 20, & 24.
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends Omnibuses – The Clone Wars
The Clone Wars period lies entirely untouched by Marvel in omnibus – and, some of it hasn’t been collected in Epic Collections, either!
Star Wars Legends: Clone Wars Omnibus Vol. 1 (2002 – 2012)
This would very likely collect the contents of the first two Epic Collections of the same title.
This would collect Star Wars: Republic #49-67; Star Wars: Jedi One-Shots (Mace Windu, Shaak Ti, Aayla Secura, Count Dooku, Yoda); Star Wars: Darth Maul – Death Sentence #1-4; and material from Star Wars Tales #14, 19, 22 and Star Wars Visionaries OGN.
Star Wars Legends: Clone Wars Omnibus Vol. 2 (2000 – 2014)
This would very likely collect the contents of the final two Epic Collections of the same title. Note that Star Wars Republic #78-80 isn’t a part of the Clone Wars and instead is collected in the Star Wars Empire books.
This would collect Collects Star Wars: Republic (2002) #68-77 & 81-83; Star Wars: General Grievous (2005) #1-4 (between Republic #68-69); Free Comic Book Day 2006: Star Wars; Star Wars: Obsession (2004) #1-5; ree Comic Book Day 2005: Star Wars #1; Star Wars: Darth Maul – Son of Dathomir (2014) #1-4; Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) #1-4; Star Wars: Tag & Bink II (2006) #2; and material from Star Wars Visionaries (2005) GN and Star Wars Tales (1999) #4 & 17.
It may also collect Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) #1-12 and Free Comic Book Day 2006, which are not yet covered in Epic Collection.
Star Wars Legends: The Clone Wars Adventures (2004 – 2014) [includes Magazine comic strips]
Marvel has never collected this material in Epic Collection, possibly due to lingering rights issues. It includes Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures (2004) Volume 1-10 (2004 – 2007) and materials from Star Wars: The Clone Wars Magazine (2010) #1-22 (2010 – 2014) and Reversal of Fortune web comics (2004 – 2005).
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends Omnibuses – The Empire
We likely need just one more omnibus from this sprawling period that covers the two decades between the prequels and the original trilogy.
Star Wars Legends: The Empire Omnibus Vol. 4 (1997 & on) [Epics Vol. 7-8]
This would very likely collect the contents of the final two Epic Collections of the same title. Note that there are no issues of Blood Ties (2010) #5-8
This would collect Star Wars: Blood Ties (2010) #1-4; Star Wars: Blood Ties – Boba Fett Is Dead (2012) #1-4; Star Wars: Empire (2002) #1-5-6, 8-13, & 15; Star Wars: Underworld – The Yavin Vassilika (2000) #1-5; Free Comic Book Day: Star Wars 2013; Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron #½; Star Wars: A New Hope Special Edition #1-4; Star Wars: Tag and Bink Are Dead #1; and material from Star Wars Tales #1-2, 6, 8-10, 12, 14, 16, & 19.
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends Omnibuses – The New Republic
We already have Star Wars Legends: The Rebellion Omnibus Vol. 1-3 and Star Wars Legends: The New Republic Omnibus Vol. 1-2, so we may need just one more omnibus to wrap up this era – or perhaps two, but we’ve mapped it as one for simplicity.
Star Wars Legends: The New Republic Omnibus Vol. 3 (1995 – 2012)
This would collect all of The New Republic Epic Collections Vol. 6-7, but it’s unclear if it would also collect the “Invasion” material that follows almost 6yrs later in story chronology.
This would collect Star Wars: Crimson Empire #0-6, Star Wars Bounty Hunters – Kenix Kil, Star Wars: Crimson Empire II – Council of Blood #1-6, Star Wars: Crimson Empire III – Empire Lost #1-6, Star Wars: Boba Fett – Bounty on Bar-Kooda (1995), Star Wars: Boba Fett (1997) #2 AKA Star Wars: Boba Fett – When the Fat Lady Swings, Star Wars: Boba Fett (1997) #3 AKA Star Wars: Boba Fett – Murder Most Foul, Star Wars: Boba Fett – Agent of Doom (2000) #1; Star Wars: Jedi Academy – Leviathan #1-4; Star Wars: The Mixed-Up Droid #1; Star Wars: Union #1-4; Star Wars: Chewbacca #1-4; and material from Dark Horse Extra #21-24, Dark Horse Presents (2011) #1, and Star Wars Tales #19.
It’s possible this could add Invasion (2009) #0-5, Star Wars: Invasion – Rescues (2010) #1-6, Star Wars: Invasion – Revelations (2011) #1-5. Plus, also collects Star Wars Handbook (1998) #2: Crimson Empire and material from Star Wars Tales (1999) #18-19 & 21. But, at nearly 500 pages, that could be a separate omnibus entirely.
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends Omnibuses – Legacy
Star Wars Legacy is effectively a “100 Years Later” period of potential future canon of the old Star Wars Universe. Since it has been collected in four Epic Collections, it will likely map exactly into a pair of omnibus volumes.
Star Wars Legacy Vol. 1 (2006 – 2010)
This would collect Star Wars: Legacy (2006) #0-36, 41, 0, & 1/2
Star Wars Legacy Vol. 2 (1999 – 2013)
This would collect Star Wars: Legacy (2006) #37-40 & 42-50; Star Wars: Legacy – War (2010) #1-6; Star Wars: Legacy (2013) #1-18; and material from Star Wars Tales (1999) #19 and Star Wars Visionaries (2005) #1
Star Wars Omnibus Mapping: Star Wars Legends Omnibuses, by title
Star Wars Legends: Boba Fett (1997 – 2014)
This is effectively a “Boba Fett Classic” omnibus of all of his major stories from Legends continuity.
This could collect a minimum of Star Wars: Boba Fett – Enemy of the Empire #1-4, Star Wars: Blood Ties – Boba Fett Is Dead (2012) #1-4, Boba Fett – Enemy Of The Empire #1-4, Star Wars: Blood Ties (2010) #1-4; Star Wars: Blood Ties – Boba Fett Is Dead (2012) #1-4; Star Wars: Empire (2002) #7, 28; Star Wars: Boba Fett (1997) #1/2; material from Star Wars Tales (1997) #7; Star Wars: Boba Fett – Overkill (2006) #1; Star Wars: Boba Fett (1997) #1/2, Star Wars: Boba Fett – Twin Engines of Destruction (1997) #1, Star Wars: Boba Fett – Bounty on Bar-Kooda (1995), Star Wars: Boba Fett (1997) #2 AKA Star Wars: Boba Fett – When the Fat Lady Swings, Star Wars: Boba Fett (1997) #3 AKA Star Wars: Boba Fett – Murder Most Foul, and Star Wars: Boba Fett – Agent of Doom (2000) #1.
Star Wars Infinities (2001 & on)
Effectively “What If: Star Wars.”
This would collect a minimum of Star Wars Infinities: A New Hope (2001) #1-4, Star Wars Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back (2002) #1-4, Star Wars Infinities: Return Of The Jedi (2003) #1-4, The Star Wars (2013) #0-8, though it could add post-2015 Infinities since they are all out of continuity “What If” stories.
Star Wars Legends: The Newspaper Strips (1979 – 1984)
This would collect strips from March 11, 1979 to March 11, 1984.
The contents of the two Newspaper Strips Epic Collections were listed as Classic Star Wars: The Early Adventures (1994) #1-9, Classic Star Wars: Han Solo At Stars’ End (1997) #1-3, Classic Star Wars (1992) #1-20, and three previously unpublished stories – “The Constancia Affair,” “The Kashhyyyk Depths,” and “Planet Of Kadril.”
I am curious if i missed something but we got war of the bounty hunters and now Crimson reign but where can i find the first part of each of the series collected?
Since we have gone down this path of breaking up the series and sharing them in smaller pieces in single omnis then…
My vote is for an omni that has SW (2020) #1-12, bounty hunters 1-11, vader 1-11 & dr. aphra 1-9 (and any other relevant story arcs relevant in the Empire Strikes back to Return of the Jedi era)
THIS^^^^
and if we are allowed multiple votes then also an omni post crimson reign (SW(2020) 26+, bounty hunters 25+, vader 25+, dr aphra 22+
(both a Maul and Thrawn omni would be delightful)
