What I Tweeted, 2010-07-05 Edition

July 4, 2010 by krisis

My tweets of the last week:

  • @bengarvey Totally disagree! I felt like the emotion in the entire movie was manipulative w/o being real. Whole movie was fake & flat. Hated in reply to bengarvey #
  • Boo – WP automatic upgrade to 3.0 failed. Kinda defeats the point of automatic upgrades, no? #
  • You know, I'd love to not be a PHP programmer and recording engineer, but there's no other way I know how to be a Blogger & Musician. #
  • @tangofoxtrot I should know better than to try automatic anymore, but there's still some lingering hope that it will work. in reply to tangofoxtrot #
  • E: "Did we just miss Gwyneth's boobs because of that stupid HDMI cable?" P: "I don't want to see Gwyneth's boobs, that's improper!" #
  • @amanda_nan RT @PulseonMusic Ra Ra Riot Announce Tour: 8/24, Barsuk releases The Orchard LP from Syracuse indie poppers http://bit.ly/cRclDT #
  • @amanda_nan Ra Ra Riot. Philly, 10/2. Mark your calendar now. BUT ALSO: NYC on my birthday, 9/22. Hmm? CC: @wockerjabby #
  • @cheryldoherty Watching Shakespeare In Love for the first time since I saw it in the theatre ;) in reply to cheryldoherty #
  • @amanda_nan 11/5 in DC? It's a Friday. in reply to amanda_nan #
  • @cheryldoherty hahaha, that's Great Expectations, but yes,.great soundtrack, love Siren! Was just listening to it this week! in reply to cheryldoherty #
  • @bengarvey Did like Wall-E, but the Incredibles is mine – best Superhero story ever told on film, and it's not even from a comic book! in reply to bengarvey #
  • I slept badly & it's too hot for me; work must be AWESOME so I can get through this day. Luckily, I have a job where that is possible. #
  • @movie_pundit Depends; are you on AP? In my company we still cap Web when it's used by itself, but our style book is a modified Gregg. in reply to movie_pundit #
  • Have you decided on your personal summer theme song yet? I don't think I have a fix on mine. #
  • @MVMNT_Mike Plus side: always can find a station playing your song. Minus side: not much of a hook. in reply to MVMNT_Mike #
  • @ANewBandADay Here's two good ones from my area I saw on Friday – Post Post (see myspace; recordings still meh) & @theshondes (shondes.com) in reply to ANewBandADay #
  • @brimil Just noticed you're a sponsor of @SMDphilly! AWESOME. If my music site was more developed I'd do same. Maybe for one of the camps. in reply to brimil #
  • @suz925 I know some were latching onto "Alejandro," but it's just not indelible enough for me. in reply to suz925 #
  • A work project just lost priority with a designer due to a hot Paul McCartney poster they are working on. I am not joking. Kinda awesome. #
  • @ANewBandADay I can't find it online, but my fav Shondes track so far is Boston. I'll see if I can find live stuff; the LP is a bit subdued. in reply to ANewBandADay #
  • @ANewBandADay Post Post has an EP out later this summer, so you might want to hang onto them until then to have tracks to post? in reply to ANewBandADay #
  • @ANewBandADay That's the best headline ever. I might have to hang that up at work. in reply to ANewBandADay #
  • I have come to accept that I will never like Jay-Z. #
  • @jtramsay I just don't like his style/flow. No matter how many times I approach it, it never clicks with me. Bonus points for using grok. in reply to jtramsay #
  • Watched @TiMERtheMovie – the best romantic comedy I've seen in… ever? Vaguely sci-fi, perfectly cast (@emmacaulfield!), great script. Loved! #
  • And, I have to say, for an indie flick it's shot so damned well. I wish more big comedies had intimate moments and long beats like these. #
  • @djmarilyn I had it in my queue for a while but I just noticed it came up on streaming. We LOVED it (helps that we love Emma). in reply to djmarilyn #
  • @jtramsay That songs speaks to me directly. But yes, that's part of my problem with Jay-Z. I like rappers w/ pricklier, more enunciated flow in reply to jtramsay #
  • Good lord, the Ellis/Bianchi run on Astonishing X-Men is the most gorgeous Marvel book I've ever seen. I love that Astonishing is premium X. #
  • Experiencing some aggravation w/our LG BD570 BluRay player. Beautiful upscaling, great features, but intermittent black screen. Back it goes #
  • @amanda_nan Did you like it? We thought it was genius! in reply to amanda_nan #
  • Home sick today; sadly missing @smdphilly ;(…. on the plus side, I read a ton of graphic novels and sat on all of our couches. #
  • Just devoured the hilarious SWORD tpb from Marvel. I'm rarely giddy while reading but this warranted it. Must locate more from Kieron Gillen #
  • @SarahPsyDeal Where will you be located tomorrow and Monday?! in reply to SarahPsyDeal #
  • @mikeydoc I religiously use ultimate-guitar, so I hope it's not that… in reply to mikeydoc #
  • The house is finally tidy enough that I feel okay about rehearsing, and it feels GREAT to be squawking & strumming in this beautiful studio! #
  • My biceps are only in ballad shape – no hyper-kinetic guitar attack in store for tonight, after a few weeks sans rehearsals. Must shape up. #
  • @hchybinski I did move! It went as smooth-as-could-be, the house is wonderful, and I am surprisingly close to unpacked. ;) You? in reply to hchybinski #
  • Sometimes it's easier to write a new song if I've forgotten it first. #
  • @mayaREguru Oh, this is just me rehearsing – haven't set up the new studio to stream (yet); playing in Collingswood next weekend, though. in reply to mayaREguru #
  • @dominickevans I don't rely on this, but there's power in reinventing those half-forgotten hooks. Forget until only the best sticks; rebuild in reply to dominickevans #
  • Oh, because what my repertoire is missing is always another tongue-twister with hundreds of words. Gee, why can't I write more of those? #
