This week in Marvel Comics: Godzilla invades the Marvel U, X-Manhunt is over (hooray!), Scarlet Witch gets Masterworked, Daredevil wraps his neverending deadly sins, Ultimate Gambit & Kitty Pryde, DWJ’s Beta Ray Bill back to print, Red Hulk breaks out, Old Republic Legends reprinted, whatever the Pooluminati are, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This is a very tight call to pick over two books resolving cliffhangers that have been on my mind all month, but I have to give it to Ultimate Wolverine (2025) #3 debuting Ultimate Gambit and Kitty Pryde! This book is becoming the de facto “Ultimate X-Men” since the actual Ultimate X-Men (2024) isn’t much of a traditional X-Men title. However, I very nearly picked Red Hulk (2025) #1 or Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) #15 given how both of their prior issues left off last month.

New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: Image Comics – March 19 2025

This week in Image Comics: More Bug Wars, the end of a Deviant, Adventureman’s family tree branches out, Power Fantasy’s “Second Summer of Love” explodes onto the scene, Saga’s second season concludes, Shadowhawk guests with the Blood Squad, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This is impossibly hard. The Power Fantasy (2024) #7 is one of my Top 10 comics promising a major, world-defining revelation. The Rocketfellers (2024) #4 promises to reveal more about what drives its lovable family. Saga (2012) #72 ends the second season of the powerhouse series! But for me, I think my most-anticipated book is Bug Wars (2025) #2 from Jason Aaron, Mahmud Asrar, Matt Wilson, & Becca Carey. Issue #1 was so perfectly developed both on the fantastical and human side of things, and it brought us right up to the point where those two worlds clash. I can’t wait to read more.

This week in DC Comics: Absolute Flash debuts, two generations of Robins in peril, Zatanna vs. ghosts of magic past, Finest Bronze Age team-ups, Nightwing does a heist, the Justice League races to defeat Darkseid with Sonic, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This is a surprisingly close call, as there are several comics in this week’s pull that I am very excited to read more of – especially Jamal Campbell’s Zatanna (2025) #2! However, my undisputed winner of the week is Detective Comics (1937 / 2016) #1095. Every time I think back to last issue and where we left Damian my heart starts racing all over again. When I can still remember every page of one of 200+ new issues I’ve read in the past month, we’ve got a winner on our hands.

The Krisis Pick of the Week: It’s an easy pick this week – One World Under Doom (2025) #2! The first issue of this event from Ryan North, RB Silva, & David Curiel had me reading and re-reading it as much for the big action as for the witty jokes. Now that Doom is in control, what comes next? I can’t wait to find out from a book that is already ensconced deep in my Top 10 of 2025 with just one issue.

New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: Image Comics – March 12 2025

This week in Image Comics: Violator ends and his beginning is collected(!), Camp’s very normal Crisis Events, Transformers teases an epic rivalry, an apocalyptic meal of Chew and East of West compendiums, Rogue Sun back for a new arc, things get nightmarish in Moon Is Following Us, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: In a major upset, I think I’m genuinely more excited to see how Marc Andreyko wraps up Violator: Origin (2024) #6 than I am for Deniz Camp’s Assorted Crisis Events (2025) #1 now that I know that will be an anthology series. Violator was also an anthology of single one-shot stories, but all of them with Violator and filling out the deep lore of the Spawn Universe. Plus, this week Alan Moore’s Violator is finally collected!!!
