What I Tweeted, 2010-07-12 Edition

July 11, 2010 by krisis

My tweets of the last week:

  • 12 hours. Two more rooms completed unpacked. Two pages of twenty proofed and ready to launch. Not a bad run to mark my Independence Day. #
  • @bethofalltrades That was our rule of thumb – no one got a blind +1; either we knew the S.O. well enough to address it to them or no guest. in reply to bethofalltrades #
  • @JonathanMaberry Just had the very belated realization that you get to work w/one of my favorite pencilers, Ken Lashley! Where has he been?! #
  • Streaming report: Cashback, offensive, bad script. Suburban Girl, inert, bad score. Rachel Getting Married, pointless, Kym too sympathetic. #
  • @karenheck I think they made Kym too relateable; like, I thought her toast @ rehearsal was wonderful & hated everyone for rolling their eyes in reply to karenheck #
  • Sadly I did not watch Zombieland prior to seeing Jesse Eisenberg at E's high school or else I would have mocked him for his poor enunciation #
  • @jacmmkay For serious, he sure is. in reply to jacmmkay #
  • Weeds is kindof like what I assumed life in the suburbs was like all of these years. #
  • @polexa Until the dumb brother became a character it seriously seemed more like life then teevee. Oh well, two good episodes, at least. in reply to polexa #
  • Left an hr early to try to beat the heat, but even the 7am sun is pretty oppressive. Nonetheless, well-rested & ready for an awesome 4d week #
  • So, of course the day I leave early is the day I board an El that is moving BACKWARDS on its track through the station. Argh, @septa. Argh. #
  • @PAWeissenstein I am seriously going to make that happen! Up super-early, rehearsal tonight – all good things ;) – will yours be tremendous? in reply to PAWeissenstein #
  • @RobIsEvil It kinda didn't occur to me until I was thinking about how much I hate riding the El :) in reply to RobIsEvil #
  • I love that I now have enough songs on my iPod that we use it as a Ben/Jack FM radio in the office and not hear a repeated song for a week. #
  • Downside of my 18k song iPod: Hearing songs I like & having no idea what they are; have to troll through "recently played" to figure it out. #
  • Philly peeps: Seeing emails/statuses from friends that they are being sent home because it's too hot to work safely! Is that you, too? #
  • @bethofalltrades Wow, how awesome that you're now in the position to outreach to your indie heroes & offer them expertise! A beautiful thing in reply to bethofalltrades #
  • @paullucci Yeah, I can't tell at all from within our office, we're very climate-controlled. Always amazed to get bulletins from the outside in reply to paullucci #
  • @Blueskyfox You'd think that with all the greening people would tone down the office thermostats; buildings hard to regulate, I guess? in reply to Blueskyfox #
  • @Blueskyfox I think if we had brownouts I'd have to buy a generator for my PC! in reply to Blueskyfox #
  • Super-productive Arcati Crisis rehearsal; Gina penned some ridiculously apt harmony for "Dumbest Thing I Could Do." It's almost a real song! #
  • The missus is watching Anastasia in streaming HD. I love that, despite its modern animation, this flick is very classic Disney in aesthetic. #
  • I'd say we're in pretty good shape to rock Collingswood this weekend for our free 2nd Saturday show on Haddon Ave. ;) #
  • As if today wasn't crazy enough with the heat, dentist, and client meeting, now I might be playing a surprise gig tonight? #
  • If you're in Old City tonight and want to drink awesome low-cost beer while enjoying live music, stay tuned for more details around noon…! #
  • Today wants my head to explode. #
  • Surprise show is a go! Need something to do after Center City SIPS tonight? $3 craft beers and music from me at Triumph, 121 Chestnut, 8pm. #
  • Guitar: Restrung. Dinner: Inhaled. Songs: In my head. Surprise show at Triumph Brewery, Old City: in 2hrs @ 8p. Stop by for a $3 craft beer! #
  • Cool duo before me tearing through acoustic & bass renditions of Ain't No Sunshine, Billie Jean, Superstition. No pressure or anything ;) #
  • 1 of my sweatier sets on record. But hey, at least the outdoor set isn't until Saturday! Rocked a pretty hot Poker Face. Playing again @ 930 #
  • Here after my show! RT @dutreblemakers: Former TM Stefani playing @ Blockely w/her band Friends With Benefits http://tweetphoto.com/31402465 #
  • This is the rock life – wife had rehearsal, I had a gig, now we're catching a friend's sweet cover band. #
  • @paullucci Happy Thursday indeed! Hope yours is a good one, and cooler than the past few ;) in reply to paullucci #
  • Tremendously huge congratulations to @chriscolfer for being honored w/an Emmy nom for his first season as @kurthummelglee. So happy for him! #
  • Determined to live an awesome Friday & excited to play our first NJ gig in over a year on Saturday. The comm & rock lives are well-aligned. #
  • @gloriabell Missing you – which is largely my fault for missing two straight SMC events! Maybe I can finally pay you a visit sometime soon. #
  • Memo I just received: "… the following copy will anger [redacted] and may result in him crushing our head." Oh, my wacky office. TGIF. #
  • @CateTV My day descended a bit from "AWESOME," but I maintained an awesome attitude. Life is very hectic both in the office & creatively ;) in reply to CateTV #
  • @PAWeissenstein Playing an outdoor gig on main street! @arshimbo @krisis @Pallian @kirste @ericgreenspan @DvinMsM @harrytucker @spafax_arjun in reply to PAWeissenstein #
  • If there wasn't already a song called "Semi-Charmed Life" I'm sure I could write it, although mine would probably not be about snorting coke #
  • Worried the rain may scuttle our Collingswood gig. Also a scuttling agent: Jillian Michaels. I think she's trying to kill me. #
  • If you're coming out to see us at Collingswood 2nd Saturday, we're at Haddon & Woodlawn, next to Grooveground coffee shop. Playing until 9pm #
  • Our musical compatriot Ryan Williams, splitting sets with us in Collingswood. http://twitpic.com/246mbn #
  • This is one of the most fun gigs I think we've ever done. So many friendly people on the street to meet! Can't wait to come back in Sept! #
  • @phillybeergirl haha, I am with the young Ms. Shubin right now, but playing elsewhere. Enjoy your show! in reply to phillybeergirl #
  • Man, this is so the summer of sweaty gigs. I think I might have got a bit of sunburn! Also, we played every song we know. We love those gigs #
  • @djmarilyn Surely you are a Pushing Daises fan? #
