What I Tweeted, 2010-09-27 Edition

September 26, 2010 by krisis

My tweets of the last week:

  • God help you if you ask me a complicated question after I’ve been writing all day. You are likely to receive a 2,000 word treatise. #
  • Did an animal murderer who has no place in the public eye win some sort of sports event? My football team is DEAD TO ME, so I didn’t notice. #
  • @Remysbaby Dude, I’d be all in on a Voldemort team. Accio Hail Mary. Meanwhile, the Vikings remain my #2 NFC team. in reply to Remysbaby #
  • The offhand beauty of sunrise over the tracks tells me this may be an awesome day. http://twitpic.com/2q9qdn #
  • @eedawson Oh my. That’s not exactly what I’m looking for out of a Monday morning, but I suppose it could be a lot worse. in reply to eedawson #
  • United Way campaign kicked-off! Hard to believe I’ve been a part of our campaign for four years now. Time flies. #
  • @eedawson Wow. That is pretty hard core. There are plenty of companies who would hire her to manage their FB pages w/that kind of vigor. in reply to eedawson #
  • @remysbaby @purpletronic @robinelton @b_katt Thanks for the anti-Vick support! None of my typical football-watching crew shares my boycott. #
  • Need some original music in your #MusicMonday Stream my set from last week’s Arcati Crisis show @TinAngelPHL: http://bit.ly/actin1009 #
  • @purpletronic I certainly believe in forgiveness & redemption, but I don’t think you SO QUICKLY put a person back into a role model position in reply to purpletronic #
  • More writing. Six more hours. I can do this. #
  • In other news, why do people who win songwriting contests so often suck so bad at songwriting? Seriously, I have given up on the logic of it #
  • You’d think at a big pedigreed songwriting thing they would manage to pick something other than trite mixed-metaphors with ABABCB structure? #
  • @mayaREguru I swear, you have a knack for tweeting me at the times I need to see a friendly user pic the most :) in reply to mayaREguru #
  • Still don’t quite get what to do when a bio picks up your press quote and then you can’t write something similar again without plagiarizing. #
  • I’m blown away every time I listen to a genre-defying track from Sierra Hurtt: http://bit.ly/9DeoOD – reminds me of v. early Sarah McLachlan #
  • United Way @ work is always odd: So far worn a giant snowflake costume & delivered bulk peanuts, now I’m sporting my wife’s varsity jacket . #
  • For folks >25 “New Selena Album” evokes an LP from Selena the Latin artist, not a Disney-aged starlet. Gomez isn’t a one-name yet #brandfail #
  • @amanda_nan FYI, @arcati81 says that for my birthday she’ll buy tix for & transport me to the “Blinkerton” tour. You may want to chat :) #
  • Psyched to see my articles on CBSLocal go live! My fav is Best Local Songwriters: http://bit.ly/a3Pmq1 – 9 Philly artists you should hear! #
  • @amanda_nan @not_pele We need to start forming our Deathly Hallows plan, stat. #
  • My co-worker owns three pairs of jeans. I wore three pairs of jeans YESTERDAY. #
  • @Not_Pele @amanda_nan There’s IMAX that isn’t ginormous-sized. I’d personally like to see a digital projection, just not 3d. in reply to Not_Pele #
  • @Not_Pele Well, of course they’d need that in Vancouver. It’s not like all of those tv shows have enough budget for swordplay instructors! in reply to Not_Pele #
  • @impossibly I have come to terms with the obscene vastness of my material possessions. To be fair, I really do use them all pretty regularly in reply to impossibly #
  • Another weird day at work: today I was paid to organize a concert, play air guitar, & back-up dance. Ruined my fav suit doing a knee-slide. #
  • After a few minutes of seeing blood spots on the bookshelves I was putting together I finally considered checking to see if I was bleeding. #
  • @marjae Yeah, I kept thinking – “maybe the movers nicked themselves on it.” It took, like, half an hour to figure out it was coming from me. in reply to marjae #
  • @AllThingsGwen Scared FOR me, or scared I might be keeping a dead body behind my bookcase? :) in reply to AllThingsGwen #
  • @marjae No major danger – a rogue toe did battle with the edge of the bookcase :) Trying to put the last of the moving stuff in order. in reply to marjae #
  • Breaking: There are no cute jeans for men in Philly <$100. I hit all of the usual suspects. Express, in particular, is V. FUGLY this season. #
  • @jayvert Funny story: Urban jeans my waist size will not fit up my legs. I have to buy a waist +8 inches to accommodate my Italian thighs. in reply to jayvert #
  • My life was so much healthier (and wealthier) before I know about Amazon daily Gold Box deals. The personalized ones KILL ME. #
  • Leave it to my wife to see the perfectly acceptable thing I am wearing and then overdress to an Nth degree, forcing me to change last minute #
  • Belated birthday date includes dinner @ Cuba Libre & @tinangelphl to see 2 of the best songwriters in Philly: Adrien Reju & @suziebrownsongs #
  • Apparently I don’t like Cuban food. Or, at least, not here. Everything is too sickly sweet. #
  • @bengarvey but is it all so very sweet? in reply to bengarvey #
  • @patrickbjohnson @CateTV mmm, there ate store-bound varieties of that, and I love them. I believe Celestial makes one, Madagascar something. in reply to patrickbjohnson #
  • @wfenza are you going to be out for a while? We’re just sitting down for a show @tinangelphl in reply to wfenza #
  • @brimil Says @not_pele: “Britt won 1st place!” Me: “Of course she did.” E: “Out of *350* teams.” Me: “Of course she did. Britt finds a way.” in reply to brimil #
  • Host David Wannop just shouted out my Best Songwriters In Philly article in his intro of @suziebrownsongs ! #
  • @sierrahurtt I saw you play a Wannop show with Vicky Spaeth & you blew me away starting with your Metric cover :) Hope to see you again soon in reply to sierrahurtt #
  • Adrien Reju just played a must-hear song, “I want you all to myself”? One of the best new tunes I’ve heard all year. Wow. #
  • While I am happy that my mixing computer has RAID 1 HDs so I don’t lose data, I don’t exactly understand how to replace one of the backups. #
  • I suppose the awesomeness of RAID1 is that it simply doesn’t matter what went wrong. I take old the old HD & put in a new one, no data lost. #
  • I just realized that my blog crossed the million word mark on my birthday! That’s a pretty cool gift! #
  • Opened a just-bought item from Acme to find inside marked “Use by 11/07.” I sense righteous anger being unleashed in an Acme in near future. #
  • Working on my person editorial calendar out on the patio surrounded by cool Autumnal air is one of the best features of this house. #
  • @hchybinski For real. Not even anything super-obscure – it’s a package of fruit chillers from the apple sauce section. in reply to hchybinski #
