What I Tweeted, 2012-05-13 Edition

May 13, 2012 by krisis

My tweets of the last week:

  • @phillybosslady I think my entire life would implode. I hate to be that first-world person, but I'd need a whole suitcase of TP and soap. in reply to phillybosslady #
  • @ComicMovieTrap I usually go by whatever age Marvel seems to be in, so "Heroic Age," which actually jives well with DC at the moment, too. in reply to ComicMovieTrap #
  • Totally wired about tomorrow morning: visiting the @ibxrun10 finish line with @smashleydubs to spectate, then 4hrs of wedding band rehearsal #
  • I don't know how (a) runners sleep on race eve or (b) wedding bands stop learning songs. Totally wired, wishing there was time to learn more #
  • Can't quite see the moon from our street, but it is totally gorgeous outside. I'm tempted to head out to my porch with my laptop to write. #
  • @SmashleyDubs We should text each other when we wake up, this only works with both of us :) (PS: Almost answered from the wrong account ;) in reply to SmashleyDubs #
  • @SmashleyDubs Just realized the way you took to the Linc is the route I have been trying to visualize for the next chapter in my book ;) in reply to SmashleyDubs #
  • I don't know how anyone wrote books that take place in cities before they had Google Street View. And now I am finally going to sleep. #
  • @PurpleCar Thanks! I'd love to head out. I'll head to DM for planning :) in reply to PurpleCar #
  • Enjoying a beautiful morning @ the finish line of @ibxrun10 w/our tweeting team! Unofficial race photog @smashleydubs shot some killer shots #
  • @bengarvey I missed shooting it by a second at the finish! in reply to bengarvey #
  • @jen_k Awesome!!! Congratulations. in reply to jen_k #
  • That was a whirlwind morning – out of the house at 6:30a, start line at 7:30a, & back home at 11:30a to set up for Arcati Crisis rehearsal! #
  • 3.5hr of rehearsal, almost all of it singing. My voice feels awesome. Exhausted, but awesome. Learned our first full-band Beatles cover! #
  • @radian6support I know I've asked (& you've answered) at least twice before, but can you please (re)send me the console DL link? New wrk PC! #
  • @radian6 Nevermind, I remembered how to do it! #
  • @jen_k It truly is. I had no idea what I was getting myself into five years ago by asking to work on it, but I wouldn't trade a single year. in reply to jen_k #
  • @radian6support No worries, I worked it out on my own ;) in reply to radian6support #
  • @Jadetrombetta Thanks, Jade! The run was amazing, & I'm sitting here tearing up at all the amazing stories people are sharing on Twitter :) in reply to Jadetrombetta #
  • If you have a fixable problem while I'm captaining the company Twitter then it's yr lucky day, because I am going to fix the heck out of it. #
  • One of @not_pele & my pastimes is ordering a ridiculous amount of sushi to be delivered and then seeing how many pairs of chopsticks we get. #
  • @gregpak Do you think Dazzler does a lot of her own writing, or is she buying demos and changing one word to get a songwriting credit? in reply to gregpak #
  • Just picked up two slick vintage suits to choose from for the awesome wedding we are playing in two weeks. This wedding band business is fun #
  • @gregpak I wonder how royalties work when you co-write with someone in an alternate reality…? in reply to gregpak #
  • Avengers. Not great. Whedon directs women well & superb nonjerky action, but the men are a flatline and the shots are dull. Plot? Kinda. 3/5 #
  • Also: enjoyed the Avengers v X-Men nod to Iron Man as a genocidal lunatic; RDJ directs himself; Black Widow & Hawkeye need a movie, stat. #
  • @SarahRobinson I really, really, really wanted that, too. Lots of other people are loving it. I didn't like Thor or Cap, either. in reply to SarahRobinson #
  • @Bearstronaut How many people are you thinking? Also, is this a live rock band thing, a DJ, or both? in reply to Bearstronaut #
  • @platypusjones @eddidit I think I simply had my hopes up for a lot more out of Whedon, the concept, and that cast. It's a fine popcorn movie in reply to platypusjones #
  • @Bearstronaut Fergies is a good option for 30-50 people, small space but good for high energy shows. Non-drinking could go Rotunda. in reply to Bearstronaut #
  • @Bearstronaut Full band bill anchored by a local could be M-Room. Big draw band, Johnny Brenda's. More casual could be Connie's Ric Rac. in reply to Bearstronaut #
  • @platypusjones @eddidit I do think Sam Jackson was sleepwalking & Ruffalo could have done some more character work other than hand-wringing. in reply to platypusjones #
  • @Bearstronaut @filmstarband FS, do y'all have a booking contact at M-Room you can pass along, or should Bear simply hit their website? Tnx! in reply to Bearstronaut #
  • @eddidit @platypusjones 100% agreed with that statement. Most of the Avengers just seems silly to me. in reply to eddidit #
  • @eddidit @platypusjones Well, and Spidey, FF, and Hulk used to sit separately, for the most part, but now they have all been integrated. in reply to eddidit #
  • @platypusjones Re: Ruffalo, literally wringing your hands for an entire film to show your conflict or inaction isn't a solid acting choice. in reply to platypusjones #
  • @platypusjones I think that's spot-on. I liked a lot of the script and delivery choices. I just didn't totally love his physicality. in reply to platypusjones #
  • @amanda_nan Argh. She is my second favorite part after his voice. in reply to amanda_nan #
  • @brimil it certainly is, isn't it? in reply to brimil #
  • @mikeyil Every time this comes up I always reflect on how many of my friends' relationships used to be illegal (heck: mine included). in reply to mikeyil #
  • Today @ibx's landmark team-up w/ @travelwithAAA is a cover story in @Philabizjournal! http://t.co/SoaqGnkC …quite a week for my projects ;) #
  • @brimil That's the plan :) in reply to brimil #
  • I have now had hard drive failures in 3-for-3 of my Toshiba products, but never on another product I've purchased. I'm thinking no #4 for me #
  • @bengarvey Ahh, but what is the highest drop it can survive? (Realistically, can't switch to Mac right now. Maybe someday.) in reply to bengarvey #
