What I Tweeted, 2011-09-25 Edition

September 25, 2011 by krisis

My tweets of the last week:

  • I have no creative urge tonight. I think I ate too much Captain Crunch. #
  • Good morning! I'm off from work for a wk to be a musician & blogger. What would be your full-time job with a wk off from your full-time job? #
  • So, the Netflix website that makes sense and is really feature-rich is going to be split into two websites, neither of which will be useful? #
  • And we must rate movies on two different websites that won't talk to each other or provide cross recommendations? NOW I might cancel my sub… #
  • @jillianivey I don't know, I think maybe they will see the light on website integration when the avalanche of negative press hits them. in reply to jillianivey #
  • All the #Netflix chatter is intriguing since I had an intense Netflix dream last night. Maybe I'm closer to Tweeting directly from my brain… #
  • @jillianivey It's quite ridiculous. It reaffirms my belief that at a high level corporations are not REAL and only speak consultant. in reply to jillianivey #
  • @marykateruf I believe I have scientifically proven that it results in a damaged roof of mouth and napping. in reply to marykateruf #
  • Working on my review of Batwoman #1 an issue so compelling that I am presently hunting for her past appearances collected in print #
  • Batwoman #1 ooky new villain isn't even the creepiest beat in great ish dense w/hints @ backstory. A must-see for sumptuous imaginative art #
  • One comics post down for the day; time to switch gears to music! Going for a brisk walk around the hood to get blood flowing & tunes pumping #
  • @OnlyGuyAtZumba Wow, you'd certainly need to maintain a robust Zumba schedule for that one! One of the downsides of my wk off is no Zumba :( in reply to OnlyGuyAtZumba #
  • @patrickbjohnson I support the logic behind SOME of this product differentiation, but there has to be a line somewhere. in reply to patrickbjohnson #
  • Collective problem-solving FTW! RT @nikiblack Gamers take 3wks to solve puzzle that stumped scientists for >decade http://t.co/yGXVQRbP #
  • @AllThingsGwen That is exactly what I commit to every January 1st in lieu of a resolution. in reply to AllThingsGwen #
  • @AllThingsGwen Going to be hard to keep up my exercise this week w/out being near the gym. Trying to work it into my schedule to do it solo in reply to AllThingsGwen #
  • Ahoy, me Hearties! I wish nothin' but clear sailing on crystal blue seas to me matey & fellow buccaneer @mikeyil on his birthday! Savvy? #
  • @AllThingsGwen A walk or ride every morning in place of my commute, and either Yoga or my BGFF @JillianMichaels at noon in lieu of the gym. in reply to AllThingsGwen #
  • Rookie error that @Netflix didn't lock down #Qwikster handle. 1st thing I do at work for a potential product name is check all URLs/handles. #
  • @mikeyil You're welcome. You know me; never do anything half way. Celebrations tonight? I have off from work, so care little for curfews :) in reply to mikeyil #
  • @amandamello Ditto on that; the best weather of the year for me is always accompanied by the worst allegeries in reply to amandamello #
  • @phillybosslady Right?! I want a real fall for once. PS: Got put into "Twitter Jail" for the 1st time ever in the midst of unfollow spree. in reply to phillybosslady #
  • @brimil Ha, I was just going to RT that to you. Apt pics soon? I want to see just how small it is :) #
  • @problogger Thanks for making yr story of going pro so detailed & accessible. I'm 11yrs in, but never turn down a chance to improve my blog! #
  • Friendly email from @JuliaPriceMusic to check out her show tonight. Streaming her now; cross between @SaraBareilles & Dia from The Voice. #
  • @brimil That's, um, smaller than our living room! Gives a whole new meaning to studio apartment. in reply to brimil #
  • @phillybosslady Only locked up for a few minutes, I stopped tweeting and made some breakfast. in reply to phillybosslady #
  • @mikeyil @Not_Pele Well, that's pretty darn close to us, so maybe the key is just exporting @allieharc & meeting not in the city. in reply to mikeyil #
  • Answered door to find both FedEx guy & UPS man standing w/packages in hand. @krisis: bringing people together through manic eCommerce binges #
  • @brimil Also: should keep shopping to a relative minimum. in reply to brimil #
  • New phone in hand, but turning on service means losing my ridiculous history of text msgs w/ @amanda_nan on my old handset. So sad. #
  • @onebabytwomoms "Congrats on the ass" may be the best CK comment of all time :) #
  • And, I am SO smart that I hit the "activate" button on my new phone before I was done transferring stuff off my old handset. You're a pro, P #
  • @PrestonInside Droid 3. I despise iPhones. I'd like my music on a 160GB classic that cannot talk to the world, thank you. in reply to PrestonInside #
  • @PrestonInside (Eek, didn't mean that to sound mean towards you! For me, all iP* products are for are music. They do that perfectly.) in reply to PrestonInside #
  • @big_onion ooo, good point – old one is a G1. didn't think of the app angle. in reply to big_onion #
  • Out for a stroll on this gorg day in my scruff & @ibxrun10 track suit http://t.co/WiWCwnXe #
  • @IBXRun10 I got a new Droid but I can't find the walk app in the store – what keywords should I be searching for? in reply to IBXRun10 #
  • @ThatEricAlper Not sure I could support a ban that doesn't exclude Rufus's pitch-perfect Buckley-inspired cut, which for many is definitive #
  • Publishing a few reviews I wrote last week and for reasons unknown decided to shelve until I could do more copywriting. Such a perfectionist #
  • @colinize With that I can agree. I just think all of the communication and branding around that smart move has been poor. in reply to colinize #
  • All the comic reviewing is reminding me I prefer my comics collected, not as single issues. Like reviewing an LP single-by-single for a year #
  • @colinize I do think some of the feature decoupling isn't wise but this will save them in the long term. Each product dragged down the other in reply to colinize #
  • @ginidietrich @Soulati #FF works best as a sincere plug for a solid user that helps to expand networks. It's become perfunctory, less useful in reply to ginidietrich #
  • @mleis The cocktails? in reply to mleis #
  • I cannot possibly absorb any more comic books today, especially if they are awful bottom-of-the-barrel DC tripe like that one. Back to music #
  • @LunaTechie I highly endorse Halloween costumes most people don't get :) in reply to LunaTechie #
  • Alright, it's midnight… is iTunes going to start doling out new #ToriAmos songs now? I've only listened to 1 preview track, I'm going crazy! #
  • Second Day Off initiated. New Tori Album acquired. Oh yes. #
  • Classic Tori blasting on studio reference monitors. It's like she is in the room with me. Holy sweet lord. #
  • Full score DL includes all the strings, but no piano part. (a) Lame, not what was promised, (b) guess we're getting a piano book after all. #
  • 1st hear of Tori's tween daughter Tash is…amazing? Positive things written about her vocal all true. Snowblind sounds like Peter & The Wolf. #
  • Battle of Trees is an epic-lengthed Bells for Her sequel about elocution & a forest of treants. Strings sound like pouring red wine. Wow. #
  • @MelGreiner Want to do our latte meet-up tomorrow? Unless you want to nerd out about Tori and a String section I'm useless to you today. in reply to MelGreiner #
  • @Cecilyk Tori Amos! in reply to Cecilyk #
  • So I guess I am live-tweeting my first listen to the new Tori record? Probably only one or two tweets per song, no need to flee in fear. #
  • "Fearlessness" starts with utterly gorgeous legato strings & low brass, all of which then twirl around a fluid piano figure from #ToriAmos #
  • @inflammatorywrt I only listened to Shattering Sea in advance, it floored me so much I decided I wanted to hear the rest of it all at once. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • "We sailed on like the ancient ones into the 9 Underworlds…soulless storms have sent Watchers w/bladeless weapons to fight." Tori does Rush? #
  • @Cecilyk @Not_Pele We are like the international Tori Amos repository over here, we have all of her songs and all of her sheet music. in reply to Cecilyk #
  • @Cecilyk @Not_Pele She had a daughter after several miscarries in 2000, age 37. From the Choirgirl Hotel is about her losses, heartbreaking. in reply to Cecilyk #
  • "Cactus Practice" a beautifully flowing mother/daughter duet, but it's the 1st time the LP has gone from mythology over to typical Amos kook #
  • Alright, we've reached the boring portion of the album. We're descending into blah tone poetry after the fireworks of early songs. #ToriAmos #
  • "Star Whisperer," menacing dirge to dull ballad to balletic string gallop. Not a 5-star pop song, but I love that it has MOVEMENTS #ToriAmos #
  • @Cecilyk @Not_Pele One of my favorite albums of all time. Today's cover song is from it. in reply to Cecilyk #
  • "Job's Coffin," song of the year? I'm in tears just from the Clarinet/EngHorn duet, & Natasha's lead vocal is unspeakably perfect. Just…wow. #
  • I cannot believe this is a 10-year old girl singing. I feel like I'm listening to Florence or Sarah Slean. Face streaming w/tears. #ToriAmos #
  • [There is a new #ToriAmos LP out today. No band – just Tori, her daughter, string octet, and low brass. 2/3 through tweeting my 1st listen.] #
  • Lyrics like this cause people to (rightfully) hate #ToriAmos "My forest of glass caused enough damage as has your teal satin crashing" #
  • That said, Your Ghost is like A Whole New World sung to a poltergeist; wistfully pretty love song for person you require but can never touch #
  • The lyrics are getting worse^2. Between this & the catastrophe of her last LP I really think #ToriAmos has lost the muse of the written word #
  • @OnlyGuyAtZumba Choirgirl dissected: http://t.co/302JImkT – Strange Little Girl 1st listen: http://t.co/Xlg2k9ln in reply to OnlyGuyAtZumba #
  • @inflammatorywrt The glass line clashes with "Battle of Trees" a little, but it's the satin line & what follows that's the real clunker. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @alejoplay I'm heading in that direction. Love the arrangements but the settings are sometimes so arbitrary b/c the words have no meaning. in reply to alejoplay #
  • @alejoplay I will always buy her Beatles references b/c I know it was the ghost of John Lennon who sang Hey Jupiter to her, & not Cobain :) in reply to alejoplay #
  • @inflammatorywrt I seriously do not acknowledge that entire album cycle. I have the dutch Curtain Call and Lady In Blue, and that's it. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @inflammatorywrt I had to google "Slutty Goth" to remind myself which song it was and, pro tip, don't google "Slutty Goth." in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @inflammatorywrt OMG, you're doing a musical!?!?! in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @inflammatorywrt I feel like she's doing the thing where she uses nonsense words as placeholders but then never replaces them w/ better ones in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @inflammatorywrt But, yes, I think a pure Tori piano LP is a gift, and even with nitpicks I'm going to play it into the ground. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @inflammatorywrt On my list of things to do in life, and my hand may get forced, because Gina wants to do a Fringe cabaret musical next yr. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • Verdict: Night of Hunters is a classically-minded thrill from #ToriAmos but w/weak lyrics. Never fulfills the visceral promise of track 1. #
  • Now, time for *MY* Tori song of the day, the 1992 cover for my 30 songs for 30 years project. Off to upload! #
  • @inflammatorywrt I would co-sign that project in a heartbeat. I think Tori should produce a track for her, it would be a stunner. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @alejoplay @inflammatorywrt Newsom was certainly the other Tash reference I was grasping for, not Sarah Slean. Thanks for bridging the gap. in reply to alejoplay #
  • @inflammatorywrt @alejoplay What?! She might be the best thing on the album not in "Shattering Sea." in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • My 1992 cover was supposed to be Gin Blossoms, but as I'm sure #ToriAmos would echo, when the muse calls you listen :) http://t.co/GPfEQ4J2 #
  • @inflammatorywrt @alejoplay I felt that way on the X-Mas disc, but it's a different story entirely here. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • Liner notes to Night of Hunters open up an entire new facet of the LP, reference all of the classic work that the string section quotes! #
  • @alejoplay @inflammatorywrt Just opened the Deluxe CD/DVD, super-nice package, I'm glad I bought it physically. in reply to alejoplay #
  • Okay, music morning, followed by comic afternoon, followed by more-music evening. Go go gadget #DCNew52 reviewing fingers. #
  • @BoyWonderRocks What?! Batgirl and Batwoman totally two of the best books out so far, aside from Action and Animal Man. Detective was solid. in reply to BoyWonderRocks #
  • @BoyWonderRocks I take it you're either an Oracle fan or have been keeping up w/newer Batgirls? For a total newbie, it was a perfect issue! in reply to BoyWonderRocks #
  • I'm ready to admit that reviewing all of DC's New 52 by myself was too big a project to take on. Reviewing 2.26 comics a day is overwhelming #
  • Of course, I never quit these insane projects until they threaten my health or sanity, so I press onward. #
  • Interesting take on #DCNew52 from readers even LESS familiar w/DC than me. Verdict? Confusing, not very good or "new": http://t.co/y1TvAo7a #
  • Me versus the twelve takes of @filmstarband's song "Another Place Another Time." #DIY FTW. http://t.co/gP1zrXyZ #
  • @jennlyn81 Thank you!!! I've always tentatively played around with that arrangement, but last night it just made sense so I went with it. in reply to jennlyn81 #
  • Going a bit blind, must power thru mixdown on last 10 takes of rock/disco future-hit Millionaires, then will do ANTHING not involving eyes. #
  • DONE! I would totally treat myself to some Dairy Queen as a reward, except I have no faith I could see traffic lights at the moment. #
  • @Not_Pele Not sure we'll have enough time before AC rehearsal starts ;( in reply to Not_Pele #
  • @PurpleCar @amanda_nan It doesn't seem like @klout is interacting with my other accounts yet, though I was pleased it could connect FB Pages in reply to PurpleCar #
  • @amanda_nan @mikeyil @PurpleCar @LaPhemmePhoodie Score aside, I like tools that give me an overview of what/how-well I'm spouting off @klout in reply to amanda_nan #
  • @McKelvie Who's typically responsible for digital flatting: I assume someone prior to colorist. Do pencilers usually have assistants for it? in reply to McKelvie #
  • @jolieodell Why do they think that's only female-oriented? I'd put a purple Droid 3 in my pocket in a heart beat! in reply to jolieodell #
  • @PurpleCar I meant "tools" in the general sense of anything spitting out SM metrics. I'm still a little puzzled by why people care about it in reply to PurpleCar #
  • @PurpleCar Great example of creating an industry where none existed or was needed, though. in reply to PurpleCar #
  • Days when I receive new lyrics from Gina are always good ones. Her new song is called "The Cosmonaut's Wife," has a definite R-Spektor vibe. #
  • @ErikaJL That bridge is definitely awesome. I'm mostly in love with the first 3rd of the LP & Job's Coffin. in reply to ErikaJL #
  • @matropolis @ifanboy Waiting to hear your #DCNew52 Week 2 picks before the avalanche of new books begins tomorrow – tons of Bat books! in reply to matropolis #
  • Charmed by a brief skim of Zorphbert & Fred, a web comic about aliens masquerading as dogs, by @dgriff13 http://t.co/kfYYYfhc via @raschatz #
  • Like 3rd Rock From the Sun crossed with Get Fuzzy and a dose of Goats.com. #
  • In other news, I wish I could write a blog post in fewer than 45 minutes, but that just doesn't happen anymore. #
  • Frankenstein #1 makes magic happen w/outlandish plot, gruff antihero, & messy/sketchy art. Perfectly exciting debut left me howling for more #
  • @CheapGNsdotcom You're killing me, I still have 5 wk2 books to review! Thought wk2 was less inspiring on the whole, looking forward to wk3. #
  • @CheapGNsdotcom WHOA. I have been so down on WW based on the limited previews, but that review made my entire body tingle :) Now can't wait! in reply to CheapGNsdotcom #
  • For all my slaving over lyrics & crowing about other Philly artists, Gina might truly be the best songwriter I know. She kills me every song #
  • @bengarvey HA! in reply to bengarvey #
  • @platypusjones May have been my favorite of the week, as it took me a while to warm to Batwoman. You read Animal Man, yes? in reply to platypusjones #
  • @CheapGNsdotcom Totally makes sense! Dunno about worst being worse than week 1 – the Lantern books may have been worse than OMAC & Hawk/Dove in reply to CheapGNsdotcom #
  • @platypusjones I haven't read the acclaimed older Morrison run, but I loved the #1 2wks ago. Drawn by the writer of Frankenstein. in reply to platypusjones #
  • Rehearsal completely drained me…it wasn't even long! This week is quickly proving that I would not want to be a full time blogger/musician. #
  • @CheapGNsdotcom Got the feeling the L books were for insiders; to me as a new reader they were gibberish. Bat books at least make sense. in reply to CheapGNsdotcom #
  • @platypusjones Yeah, ditto on being a Marvel kid, most DC stuff I just know from context. in reply to platypusjones #
  • @CheapGNsdotcom I felt a little out in the cold on Batwoman 1st time through but there was enough context that on 2nd read it all made sense in reply to CheapGNsdotcom #
  • @CheapGNsdotcom The Red Lantern book was…I didn't even think it made sense! Thought it was a disaster, then started seeing people like it! in reply to CheapGNsdotcom #
  • @platypusjones Maybe if I had been reading Morrison all along I would have liked him, but I (& seems like other new readers) were turned off in reply to platypusjones #
  • @platypusjones Stop it, you're tempting me. Also want to pick up the Batwoman: Elegy trade, supposed to be excellent. in reply to platypusjones #
  • @brianalynch @platypusjones You people are KILLING my bank account. Brian, do I have to read anything (52?) prior to Elegy? in reply to brianalynch #
  • @brianalynch @platypusjones Which leaves the question, when are they rounding up all the Morrison Bat stuff into one fat omnibus? Boggles me in reply to brianalynch #
  • @brianalynch That's a recursive joke about issues I'm not going to read because they're never going to be collected together, isn't it? in reply to brianalynch #
  • 15hr later I have written >10k words, listened to the new #Tori LP twice, mixed down 25+ drum takes, rehearsed w/band, & learned a new song. #
  • Idle time spent? Close to zero, aside from my typical 30 minutes of post-rehearsal vegetation before resuming activity. #
  • Ugh, Facebook continues to do away with the features I use the most in favor of things I don't want. If this was evolution I'd be extinct. #
  • @matropolis @iFanboy We share some favs, but you have the benefit of prior DC reading to help you. Can't believe not everyone loved StormW. in reply to matropolis #
  • @JuliaPriceMusic Nope, I go insane when I drink coffee. I only do it for the amusement of my co-workers a few days a year :) in reply to JuliaPriceMusic #
  • My single-author blog is now Google ranked higher than all of the big comic news outlets for reviews of the DC relaunch. Take that, world. #
  • @RazberryBattle Cosigned! I'm afraid of overplaying Bell Isle, so I have to carefully ration it a few times a month. @mozellamusic in reply to RazberryBattle #
  • @patrickbjohnson For real. I get the people it picks, but the contextual paradigm makes no sense. Also: I just want recent posts, damnit. in reply to patrickbjohnson #
  • @matropolis @iFanboyI loved all of those except for B&R, unsure on Batwing, plus loved Action, Frankenstein, & Resurrection Man. in reply to matropolis #
  • Good morning! How are you today? What do you hope to achieve? #
  • @JuliaPriceMusic How did you manage the early mornings when you were a page, though? I think I'd go for a wee bit of caffeine there. in reply to JuliaPriceMusic #
  • @JuliaPriceMusic How did the Philly show go?! in reply to JuliaPriceMusic #
  • In case you thought I was a miserable past-clinging Luddite about everything: I'm deeply in love with my new Droid 3. It's smarter than I am #
  • Resurrection Man #1 does re-intro right with a perfectly-paced glimpse into RM's dire, hapless life & the forces controlling it. A must-read #
  • @ErikaJL I played Job for my band last night, and they were like, "NO WAY that is a 10yr old." They need to start the Grammy campaign now. in reply to ErikaJL #
  • @ErikaJL Exactly! Not only the tone, but the perfect read on a set of lyrics that Tori herself might have made ungainly in delivery. in reply to ErikaJL #
  • I know she's married with two kids and sees me nearly every day of the yr, but I hope @MelGreiner appreciates how smokin hot I look today :) #
  • @matropolis Agreed on both. A little slow, but as a super new hero w gorg art i'm willing to give it a chance. in reply to matropolis #
  • I'm pretending I know what to do with an adorable 2wk old baby (just stare at her, right?) http://t.co/vqSzqUPe #
  • If @brimil is my partner in fame, @MelGreiner is my measure of relative sanity (& lack thereof). I feel super re-centered after our gabfest. #
  • @avarielwings I haven't held a baby that small in … ever? I said I'd give it a try when she can hold up her own head. in reply to avarielwings #
  • @amanda_nan Yes! Though, hilariously, i've still never met her son in person. in reply to amanda_nan #
  • @matropolis ditto that. I thought I didn't like good old Bats, but maybe i'm over it? Or, maybe DC just got a lot more discerning w/writers. in reply to matropolis #
  • @interjection OMG, that is all advanced babyology to me! I would have been lucky to get her out of the car seat. in reply to interjection #
  • @MelGreiner just wait until it involves yoga, and possibly liquor … though probably not at the same time ;) in reply to MelGreiner #
  • A glimpse of the final day of hotness of my 20s. Still learning to aim my front-facing #Droid3 cam. http://t.co/1BZ0D4Pq #
  • I am in love w/ #Droid3 but I do think the camera should have a physical trigger, especially with the gutter row of menu buttons so close. #
  • @phillybosslady Yes! That's why I am living it up like a full time blogger/rock star all week. Seemed like more fun than an actual vaca :) in reply to phillybosslady #
  • @phillybosslady Mixing all day on brand new Cubase 6 (finally), followed by Arcati Crisis rehearsal & dinner w/the band :) in reply to phillybosslady #
  • @brianalynch Anytime! Acoustics are way more my area of expertise, but I do only play hollow elecs as a practice. in reply to brianalynch #
  • @brianalynch I've learned that people really value the Epiphone builds, and don't even refit them w/Gibson stock stuff, like pickups et al in reply to brianalynch #
  • @brianalynch Bluebond actually kinda *refused* to put in new pickups for me – like, "Really, dude, just leave well enough alone." in reply to brianalynch #
  • @phillybosslady I was on the fence for a while but the new Cubase has a lot of the features I kludged together plugins for, so worth a try in reply to phillybosslady #
  • Have such a post queued up in my brain about the FB changes, but it has to simmer until tomorrow while I get other writing done. #
  • @brianalynch I have a Dot w/is a 335 copy. W/almost all the Gibson copies you can isolate the main diffs in build qual, usually tuners & nut in reply to brianalynch #
  • @brianalynch We may have reached the end of my hollow body knowledge :) in reply to brianalynch #
  • @Jconner05 I'm totally thrilled & amazed with the battery life. Even with mild stuff running it really lasts! @Motorola @VerizonWireless in reply to Jconner05 #
  • @hchybinski Congrats! That's a healthy amount of posts for six years ;) in reply to hchybinski #
  • @inflammatorywrt I was going to answer you, and then I realized I'm not so sure. Abstract distills the topic, but not all of the points? in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @brianalynch I forget what they had in hollow; not a ton of acoustics at the moment, tho. Pleasantly surprised by GuitarCenter in CherryHill in reply to brianalynch #
  • @inflammatorywrt b/c abstracts are used to sell articles, so you don't want to give away a whole article's findings, just the key ones??? in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @AvalonClare To just fluff it up you can probably do a Dryel bag or similar, but not sure about if it's actually dirty. in reply to AvalonClare #
  • This is my first software with a USB dongle for licensing authorization! So high tech! I feel like I'm on Alias! #
  • @julianahatfield Cultural to an extent? Kids in US brought up to expect chixnuggets, coldcuts. My fam was always upset I didn't eat hotdogs! in reply to julianahatfield #
  • Oh! Totally awesome new song in @filmstarband rehearsal! Knew it had good bones, but we had that moment where all the riffs fit together! #
  • @JettSuperior ! Is is a household prop or an office prop! Spoilers! in reply to JettSuperior #
  • @hoyboy blech. I've seen a few good shows there, but not a festival. Also, what pansy festival cancels for rain? in reply to hoyboy #
  • Good lord, I just took a Technorati survey that was about an hour long. I probably love surveys 100x more than you, but that was intense. #
  • @JettSuperior Well, it was a phenomenally thorough survey. in reply to JettSuperior #
  • This is insane, but I think Green Lantern Corps is my favorite comic book of the week. In other news, up is the new down. #
  • @not_pele RT @thornybleeder Hate Facebook’s Ticker? Try This Chrome Extension http://t.co/YYo7dH3Z #
  • @matropolis Just read Nightwing and really dug it; he has a lot more nuance than Batman. in reply to matropolis #
  • See, when Facebook implements AWESOME new features they do not require complaining. #
  • If your failure of a piece of software has caused me to look up your secret office suite VMars style to complain, I'd say we have a problem. #
  • I am looking into your windows on Google Street View and calling your neighboring business, you bastards. I will find you. #
  • B-day pizza with the band! How did I find such crazy people? (@ Dock Street Brewery & Restaurant) http://t.co/KkK4zQal #
  • @eedawson @ajohnsru @lunatechie @melissa_shae @amanda_nan @bengarvey Thank you for the birthday wishes! I grew old gracefully all day ;) in reply to eedawson #
  • @Insomniac_Love @mayasalloum Thank you for the Happy Birthdays! I haven't seen you in so, so long. It would be lovely to see you this fall. in reply to Insomniac_Love #
  • @mayasalloum I do! Thursdays tend to be the best day to grab me for lunch, as I have not meetings and the gym has no cool classes ;) in reply to mayasalloum #
  • I have so much to do with my last day off as a full-time blogger/musician. This week has taught me just how full my life actually is. #
  • @matropolis @iFanboy @thephaggot Interesting! I wonder if Teen Titans will make the cut for me all the way to issue 3. Never read it before. in reply to matropolis #
  • Philly friends: we're a day away from my 1st show as a fully-plugged four piece w/bass, drums, & 3-part harmony! Sat@ 7:30 @tinangelPHL, $10 #
  • Receive a disc of live wav files at 48k sample rate has now caused me at least 24hrs of headaches. #
  • I don't know what it is about mixing entire albums in a single day at the expense of my health and sanity. I'm just drawn to it. #
  • Sitting in my car listening to my 1st mixdown. A little tinny (fault of BBE Sonic Maximizer, which is a POS), otherwise, not bad for 1st mix #
  • Knowing how hard on I am on my own vocals, please appreciate when I posit that on this mix of "Better" I sound like a total sex-bomb. #
  • Damn, I cannot believe my band is making these sounds (or that I mixed them this well). Looks like we officially have a new fans-only CD :) #
  • Only I would decide 24hrs before a show to mix/press a new LP & launch a fan appreciate campaign. See the results @tinangelphl tonight 730p. #

  • @mikeyil the ppa is super friendly and the sign we parked under was defaced. I have high hopes. in reply to mikeyil #
  • But, for real, don't tell my wife I can't escort her to her vehicle at 2am. Different last names, total discrimination. #
  • As if I would not go Incredible Hulk on their teeny gate w/my wife behind it. I'm 30 and in the best shape of my life. Anyway, car retrieved #
  • Lessons learned? It's tough not to be able to prove your marriage. Never park on the street in Old City Philly. Rock makes everything better #
  • @amandamello (a) Felicity as a pureness paragon after she slept on the roof w/Noel? ;) (b) Really?, just for drinking? in reply to amandamello #
  • @mikeyil but we totally understand if you want to take our car photos again with their writing on the windshield ;) in reply to mikeyil #
  • @inflammatorywrt well, if you ever visit Philly I have the bar to take you to. Good lord. in reply to inflammatorywrt #
  • @mikeyil 30 was Thurs, but I do low-key b-days, so this was the official blow-out. We may have closed two fine establishments prior to tow. in reply to mikeyil #
  • @mikeyil Is such a thing possible? I am a SW fan from the Beta Machine era, but I cannot bring myself to endure another retouch :( in reply to mikeyil #
  • @brimil OMG such an adventure worthy of FAME 3.0. Played all-time fav Bowie song as our 1st ever legit ENCORE. Don't think I can go to sleep in reply to brimil #
