Sigh. Freaking cardboard paper-cut on my right index finger, which has got to be the most important finger i have when i’m not playing guitar. This day is a rainbow… streaks of happy, frazzled, miserable, excited all running through it as if my life just rained and this is what’s left over. I screamed and screamed at Matt because i have $5.64 in my checking account and he owes me nearly $500 in rent and bills. I almost felt like it was my fault when he pointed out that i don’t always bring the bills to his attention when i get them, but then i felt vindicated when i realized that he has to pay the rent every month and that i’ve been keeping a running tally of what he owes me on the coffee table for at least a whole month. I’ll get my big fat paycheck next Friday, so nothing should bounce, but if our balance isn’t $0 by then i’d rather just live in the apartment myself rather than paying for the both of us. Ugh.

This will be a long post. I sat on the same couch as Selina last night to play Encore (a singing game) with my fraternity. I finally got to hear her sing when she wasn’t concerned about me hearing her, and i fell in love with her voice. As beautiful as it is, i almost feel as though she was hiding it’s beauty underneath something all the times i ever heard her sing, and last night it was left uncovered as she quickly belted out lines from musicals and pop songs so that we could win the game. We spoke to each other, and even helped each other in the game. She’s still the most attractive person on earth, i still can’t go back to her because it wouldn’t work out, and i finally unblocked her on IM. Yep.

AIM just had the most spectacular crash i’ve ever seen, and i couldn’t get it to come back on for an hour. Finally, it loaded sans buddy list except for one person … Matt (because he’s sitting on his ass at his computer and so AIM came back up as soon at the network did). Thanx, aol. Anyway, i have to clean like mad tonight because i have fraternity people staying with me over the weekend. Blogs made this weekend should be … interesting. These are the same people from this post. Yep. Fun. Love y’all.

I’m steaming the wrinkles out of the shirt and tie i intend to wear tomorrow, and every time i walk into the bathoom to check on them my lungs are heavy with air and my hair magically lifts itself into frizzy little curls. I wish i could have a room full of static electricity too … or maybe i could just use the dryer from time to time and wind up with the static and the crisp clothes. There’s a thought…

So, yeah. My main person to hang out and do work with in the office left on some sort of wild admissions road-trip, so i have the urge to just hide behind my desk for the next two hours until tonight’s sleepover students get here and i’m sucked into that whole drama. Oh yeah. Drama.

Blagh. Somehow i got sucked into filing. See, my job is to generally fill in as Admissions Counciler whenever the actual councilers need assistance, and so far i’ve really done everything other than accept/deny incoming students. But, today half of the filing wall was pulled down as we sent out acceptance/denial letters, and now they’ve all got to get filed back up. So, polite and accomadating person that i am, i offered to file.

When i was little i used to dump out my box of G.I. Joe filecards on the floor and realphabetize them just for fun. But, it isn’t the same when the files are big and heavy and have dozens of razor-like little papers inside of them (as opposed to the blunt-cut edges of the cardboard cards on my floor). And, to top it off, the filing staff doesn’t seem to like me that much – barely mustering up enough enough niceness for me one i was actually helping them out.

Blagh. Anyhow, i just exercised my power to make important decisions, and decided i’m way too busy to file. No more filing for me.

I drink coffee now. How obscene is that? A year and a half working at the coffee shop and i barely even had one au lait every month, and now i have my requisite 20oz. by noon every day (which feels perfectly lovely on my eternally-empty morning stomach). Honestly, i think it’s because we have weak coffee, the kind that normal humans can actually ingest. I was a coffee snob for a while there, but there’s no use being a snob about something i can’t even choke down a sip of. It’s like those people who collect antique furniture and then have no were to sit.
