They’re taking apart my radiator now. For a while it was just incessant clanging of a chisel against a metal joint. At first it was the most jarring noise in the world, but soon it became as comforting as a favourite song; i barely resisted turning on my microphone to catch a snippet of it. Strident and ringing, clear as a bell but not as deep or rich. But, it’s over now. And i don’t think it’s fixed yet, nor will it be when i have to leave for class in twenty minutes. Or, hmm… now they’re packing up. Sometimes i’m wrong…

God willed me to wake up in time for class today. Or, more accurately, i went to sleep around 5:30am, and barely woke up to move to the couch at 8am, but before hope was lost for my attending class this morning, the maintenance men showed up pounding on my door. It seems that our incessantly clacking radiator (which can keep a beat to Ani’s “How Have You Been” perfectly) is dripping onto the floor and down into the apartment below us. This function is apparently a ‘value added’ one, since it is in addition to the hellish temperatures the radiator (one of four) provides. They didn’t manage to fix it, of course, but i at least made it to Theory class and back. And that’s a start.

In a great instance of karma, someone sideswiped my poor guitar case with their bicycle but then turned out to live in my building. I found this out shortly before letting my building’s heavy metal door close on the shiny spokes of said bicycle’s front wheel. So, i had the chance to get one up on karma, but instead i chose revenge, and now my karma score has been reset back to 0.

Well, i am at this point totally desensitized to walking in front of my windows nude. For one, it’s absolutely roasting in here. And, secondly, there’s really only one or two windows on this block that have a good view into my apartment, so the chances that they see me on a quick nude dash are rather slim. Or, maybe i’m just a huge exhibitionist. I guess we’ll only ever know if someone buys me a webcam.,… >nudge

When i spend a weekend at home, the place turns into a cyclone ravaged wasteland. Matt told me he wouldn’t be home until tomorrow… and so i wasted no time in leaving everything i could on the floor and in the hallway. When left to my own devices for a weekend i tend to enter my residence and start shedding stuff as i make my way to the couch or bed. After two or three such sheds, the apartment looks either like it was ransacked or like it played host to a rather rambunctious threesome (or foursome) who couldn’t wait to get into the bedroom to get naked. Of course, neither of those things ever happens in my apartment. Yep, it’s just me in here….
