It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Catwoman, Poison Ivy, & Harley Quinn omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.
Through the end of May I’ll be covering DC entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your DC oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll on Near Mint Condition the first week of June.
The Gotham City Sirens – AKA Catwoman, Poison Ivy, & Harley Quinn – are somewhat under-served in the omnibus department. We have a stellar Ed Brubaker run on Catwoman, their shared series as the Sirens, and a trio of Jimmy Palmiotti & Amanda Conner omnis for Harley.
But, we don’t have any classic Catwoman or Ivy stories, none of Catwoman’s lengthy 90s series or the run after Brubaker, and none of Harley’s early comic years – not to mention modern omnibuses beyond Palmiotti/Conner’s work.
If you’re not sure of what to vote for, stick around for a list of books vetted by a gang of the biggest mapping nerds on the internet with explanations from yours truly – keeper of the most-definitive guides to collected editions on the planet.
Or, if you don’t care about omnibuses, just use this post to learn about DC history and find some great comics to read!

Catwoman Omnibus Mapping
Catwoman has just one solo omnibus of her own, despite having several fan-favorite runs. That’s especially true of her 90s run drawn almost entirely by Jim Balent, which has only ever been collected in trade paperback. See the Guide to Catwoman for a list of current collections of all of this material.
Catwoman, The Early Years – Golden & Silver Age Omnibus (1940 & on)
Catwoman was one of the most frequent antagonists in Batman comics, starting from Batman (1940) #1! Selina Kyle made many, many appearances in the Golden and Silver Ages that have been collected across nearly a dozen Batman omnibuses (with more Silver Age book still to come).
DC has flirted with collecting some of Catwoman’s classic material in hardcover and paperback before, but with the release of the Bronze Age Batgirl, Joker, and Robin omnibuses perhaps it’s time we also got one of the next-biggest member of Batman’s extended cast.
I think at minimum this would pick up material from Batman (1940) #1, 3, 15, 197, 210, 266, 324, 332, 355, & 392, Detective Comics (1937) #122 & 203, The Brave and the Bold (1955) #197, and Superman’s Girl Friend, Lois Lane (1958) #70-71, because we’ve seen it collected in this sort of book before. But, there’s clearly a lot of other material that could be collected.
Catwoman, Vol. 1 by Jim Balent (1989 & on) [includes early Post-Crisis material]
This title is slightly misleading, because this book wouldn’t be all Jim Balent – but, it would get to his material pretty quickly
That’s because this would actually mirror the DC Finest paperback line to begin with Catwoman’s initial post-Crisis material in the five years prior to Jim Balent launching her ongoing series in 1993. That’s only 8-17 issues of material, depending on what you include, so there’s plenty of room to dive deeply into Jim Balent’s run afterwars.
This would begain with a story from the weekly run of Action Comics (1938) #611-614; Catwoman Defiant (1993) OGN; an anthology story from Showcase ’93 (1993) #1-4; and Catwoman (1989) #1-4. I’d also suggest adding material from Showcase (1993) ’93 #5 & 11, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight (1989) #11-15 (“Prey”), and maybe also Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight (1989) #46-49 (“Heat”).
Then, this would begin to collect Catwoman (1993) #1-94, One Million, & Annual 1-4 plus material Showcase ’95 (1995) #4, Catwoman/Wildcat (1998) #1-4, and Catwoman Secret Files and Origins (2002) #1. It would likely stop at issue #30 at the latest, prior to issues that tied into the “Contagion” crossover.
The Catwoman of East End omnibus by Ed Brubaker & Darwyn Cooke fits here
Catwoman by Will Pfeifer (2004 – 2008) [follows “East End” omni]
This books directly follow the Catwoman of East End omnibus continue to collect the remainder of Catwoman’s 2002 series.
This would collect Catwoman (2001) #38-82, Outsiders (2003) #50, Batman and the Outsiders (2007) #1-2, and material from Amazons Attack (2007) #4, maybe adding Catwoman: When in Rome (2004) #1-6, Batman Confidential (2007) #17-21, or material from Wednesday Comics (2009) #1-12.
Note that issue #83 was released two years later in 2010 as a tie-in to Blackest Night and is collected with Gotham City Sirens.
The Gotham City Sirens omnibus fits here.
Catwoman, The New 52 Omnibus (2011 – 2016)
This would collect the entirety of Catwoman’s New 52 series, over half of which was written by Judd Winnick and Ann Nocenti.
This would collect Catwoman (2011) #1-52 & 0, Annual 1-2, Catwoman: Futures End (2014) #1, and material from DC Sneak Peek: Catwoman (2015).
Catwoman, The Rebirth Omnibus Vol. 1 (2018 & on) [by Joelle Jones, Ram V et al]
This omnibus would collect all of Joelle Jones’s run on Catwoman (2018) #1-13 & 16-21, but it could also easily extend to include all of Ram V’s run through issue #38 as well. After that, Tini Howard takes over for the next 30 issues, which would likely be an omnibus of its own. But, it’s hard to know that without seeing how this would be mapped, so this is the most recent book we’ll list on this year’s poll.
This would collect Catwoman (2018) #1-38, Annual 1-2, and material from Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular (2020) #1.
Poison Ivy Omnibus Mapping
Poison Ivy Omnibus Vol. 1 (1966 & on)
Poison Ivy made over 100 appearances before the year 2000, though a solid hunk of them were either brief cameos or during John Ostrander’s run of Suicide Squad (1987). I think this book could manage to collect everything else, especially since Ivy’s arcs as a villain were often highlights of their runs!
This would include classic tales like Batman (1940) #181 & 183, Superman’s Girl Friend, Lois Lane (1958) #115-116, World’s Finest Comics (1941) #251-252, Batman (1940) #339, 343-344, 367, Detective Comics (1937) #534, Secret Origins (1986) #36, Batman / Green Arrow: The Poison Tomorrow GN, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight (1989) #42-43, Batman (194) #495, Wonder Woman (1987) #94-95, Showcase ’94 (1940) #3-4, and much, much more!
Poison Ivy by G Willow Wilson (2022 & on) [could include 2016 & 2019 minis]
G. Willow Wilson set out to write a third poison Ivy mini-series in six years, but wound up with a smash hit ongoing series on her hands! This series is still ongoing, but we already know there will be a high demand for it on the poll – plus, it begins with some material that pre-dates the current series.
This would primarily collect Poison Ivy (2022) #1-24 (and onward), Knight Terrors: Poison Ivy (2023) #1-2, DC’s Legion of Bloom (2023) #1, DC Pride 2022 #1 DC Pride 2023 #1, and DC Pride 2024 #1. But, it would likely add Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death (2016) #1-6, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy (2019) #1-6, and establishing material from James Tynion IV’s run on Batman (2016) that led to this run
Harley Quinn Omnibus Mapping
Harley Quinn has reached “pop cultural icon” status after appearing in over 30 years of cartoons, films, and comic books. You’d think DC Comics would match that energy with non-stop coverage in omnibus. However, DC – and fans – seem to only have an appetite for Harley when she is penned by Jimmy Palmiotti & Amanda Conner or when she is on a team like Gotham City Sirens or Suicide Squad! That laves us with a trio of other runs to collect. See the Guide to Harley Quinn for how this material is currently collected.
Harley Quinn: The Early Years by Dini, Kesel, & Dodson (1999 – 2004)
This would gather all of Harley’s introduction to main DC continuity, starting in 1999.
It would collect Batman: Harley Quinn (1999) OGN, Action Comics (1938) #765, Catwoman (1993) #82-84, Harley and Ivy: Love on the Lam OGN (2001), Harley Quinn (2000) #1-38, and Harley Quinn: Our Worlds at War (2001) #1.
The Gotham City Sirens omnibus fits here, followed by the three Palmiotti/Conner omnis.
Harley Quinn, The Rebirth Omnibus by Tieri & Humphries (2018 – 2020) [follows Palmiotti/Conner]
This book would directly follow the end of the third Palmiotti/Conner omnibus to continue to collect the remainder of Harley’s Rebirth series. I really love this run – Harley become a more fully-formed character here with a huge supporting cast while never running out of gags.
This would collect Harley Quinn (2016) #35-75 and some specials and anthology stories from the period, including Harley Quinn: Harley Loves Joker (2018) #1-2 and Harley Quinn: Villain of the Year (2019) #1.
Harley Quinn by Stephanie Phillips & Tini Howard (2021 – 2024)
Harley Quinn was one of relatively few DC characters who had their initial Rebirth title end and then launch immediately into another title prior to the 2023 wave of Dawn of DC relaunches. The initial two years of the run were written entirely by Stephanie Phillips, which makes for a perfect-sized omnibus, and the next two years by Tini Howard.
That brings this to a similar length to other single-character Rebirth books, like the Nightwing Rebirth omnibus – so I think it’s likely both runs could be collected together.
Also, I think this would be the place to collect Leah William’s Gotham City Sirens (2024) #1-4, which is more similar in tone to Harley’s book than Selina’s or Ivy’s.
This would collect Harley Quinn (2021) #1-27 & Annual 2021, adding some specials and anthology stories from the period (possibly including Gotham City Sirens (2024) #1-4), then continues to #28-43 & Annuals 2022 & 2024.
Now that we have the Batman by James Tynion Omnibus Vol. 1, hopefully with Vol. 2 on the way, I think my top vote this year has to go to Poison Ivy by G. Willow Wilson. It would be a day 1 preorder for me.
Also, I know that it’s mainly about the titles and not the mapping, but I don’t think it makes sense to add the pre-Wilson miniseries. Personally I think it would be better to include Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy with other Heroes In Crisis related material, given the miniseries does spin out of Ivy’s death and resurrection in that event.
Cycle of Life and Death is harder to place but I think it would be better collected with other New 52 era material such as Detective Comics 23.1, her story from Secret Origins #10 and maybe her arcs from Birds of Prey and Detective Comics.
Finally, the Poison Ivy by G. Will w Wilson omnibus would mostly likely also include the Poison Ivy/Swamp Thing: Feral Trees oneshot also by Wilson.
