It’s time for my tiniest guide of all time for Patrons of CK! How tiny? We’re talking about eleven issues. Twelve, if we count a black-and-white edition. So why make a guide to this comic? Because even though I own it, I wasn’t entirely sure of its release order or if there was a different order to read it in, and if I am not sure that means someone on Reddit is bound to ask! Plus, ’tis the season… for my Guide to Klaus by Morrison & Mora.
Guide to Klaus by Morrison & Mora
This guide is available exclusively to Patrons until Christmas Day!
I am historically not the hugest fan of Grant Morrison, but my curiosity got the better of me a few years ago and I dug into his initial seven-issue Klaus mini-series with artist Dan Mora. I was surprised to discover it was a surprisingly grounded “Santa Claus Begins” story. Given Morrison’s many authorial flights of fancy, I wasn’t expecting their take on one of the world’s most-cherishes myths to be quite so straightforward!
Then I read onward to the four one-shots that followed… which felt more like the Grant Morrison I know (and don’t always love).

It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Green Lantern omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.
Through the end of May I’ll be covering DC entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your DC oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll on Near Mint Condition the first week of June.
If Batman is the obvious number one on the list of DC’s favorite comic lines to collect in omnibus, Green Lantern is in a race with The Flash for the number two spot.
Green Lantern got a relatively late start to the omnibus game, with his first modern material collected in 2015. Since then, we’ve had an explosion of books completely collecting Hal Jordan in the Silver Age, the Bronze Age, and in the decade from 2005-2015.
Yet, there’s still plenty left to vote on! We have a major Green Lantern gap in omnibus from 1979 to 2004, which includes Hal Jordan material as well as key stories for John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Kyle Rayner. And, DC’s collections of that modern material have been slightly messy, so we need some companion volumes to clean up the orphaned material before we can start looking at comics from 2016 and beyond.

This post explains every Justice League omnibus that does NOT exist – and DC’s Trinity in omnibus – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

Justice League is one of DC’s marquee properties to collect in omnibus, but that doesn’t meant there are no gaps to fill.
We have perfect coverage of the Pre-Crisis era save for one (or maybe two) volumes. And, Post-Crisis kicks off with three stunningly-mapped volumes. However, after that things get shaky for nearly 20 years until we hit New 52.

Batman does as much collected editions business for DC as the collections of entire other publishers! We’ll have a total of five Batman solo omnibuses in 2025 – including just one Pre-Flashpoint, one New 52, and three from Rebirth to present.
While that sounds like a lot, there’s so much Batman not collected in omnibus, including a ton of hotly-demanded runs. Fans desperately want DC to crack into the 70s and 80s of Batman, and while the DC Finest collections may have slightly cooled the desires for an immediately Post-Crisis collection, there are still some obvious gaps in the late-90s.
I sincerely believe DC will be taking a close look at the votes on this poll to decide on their upcoming slate of Batman omnis, especially for Pre-Flashpoint material. Omar has confirmed his contact at DC wants to see the results of this year’s poll, so your votes matter!
