Every Missing Batman Family Omnibus, Mapped | 2025 Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus Poll

May 15, 2025 by krisis

Most Wanted DC Omnibus - Batman Family Omnibus Mapping 2025It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Batman Family omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

Through the end of May I’ll be covering DC entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your DC oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll on Near Mint Condition the first week of June.

What is the Batman Family? For this purposes of this post, it’s non-villainous members of the extended Batman cast who have three or fewer potential omnibus volumes to their name. This post covers Azrael, Batman Beyond, Batwing, Batwoman, Huntress, Ghost-Maker, Gotham Academy, and more!

What about the more popular and enduring members of the family? I made posts earlier today about Nightwing, Red Hood, & Robin(s) and Gotham City Sirens – Catwoman, Poison Ivy, & Harley Quinn. I’ll be back tomorrow with Batgirl & The Birds of Prey. And, all of DC’s Villains will be collected in their own post next week.

Batman does as much collected editions business for DC as the collections of entire other publishers! We’ll have a total of five Batman solo omnibuses in 2025 – including just one Pre-Flashpoint, one New 52, and three from Rebirth to present.

While that sounds like a lot, there’s so much Batman not collected in omnibus, including a ton of hotly-demanded runs. Fans desperately want DC to crack into the 70s and 80s of Batman, and while the DC Finest collections may have slightly cooled the desires for an immediately Post-Crisis collection, there are still some obvious gaps in the late-90s.

I sincerely believe DC will be taking a close look at the votes on this poll to decide on their upcoming slate of Batman omnis, especially for Pre-Flashpoint material. Omar has confirmed his contact at DC wants to see the results of this year’s poll, so your votes matter! New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: Image Comics – March 26 2025

March 22, 2025 by krisis

You'll Do Bad Things (2025) #1, an Image Comics March 26 2025 new releaseNext week is the 13th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Image Comics March 26 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Image Comics March 19 2025 new releases.

This week in Image Comics: Many new #1s – including true crime getting too true, the next generation of mad science, a surprising mummy, and swingin’ 60s Bitter Root! Plus, Cobra Commander’s fate, Department of Truth does a Deep Throat, Feral cats back for a new arc, Savage Dragon goes kid-friendly (😬), and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: There are several intriguing #1s this week, but the one I keep coming back to is You’ll Do Bad Things (2025) #1 from Tyler Boss. Not only do I love a title that’s a imperative sentence, but I’m very curious to see more of artist Tyler Boss as an author. But, I almost picked Universal Monsters: The Mummy (2025) #1 by Faith Erin Hicks!!! More on both – and other intriguing #1s – below!

This post includes every comic out from Image Comics this week on March 26 2025, plus collected editions. This isn’t the typical comic releases post you can find on other sites. Why? I explain each collection and comment on every series with a new issue out this week to help you figure out if they’re for you.

Plus, for some long-running series and Image Comics imprints, I’ll point you to a personally-curated guide within the Crushing Comics Guide to Indie Comics to find out how to collect that title in full!

There’s no other website on the internet that can claim that.

And now, onto Image Comics March 26 2025 new releases!

Bug Wars (2025) #2, an Image Comics March 19 2025 new releaseNext week is the 12th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Image Comics March 19 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Image Comics March 12 2025 new releases.

This week in Image Comics: More Bug Wars, the end of a Deviant, Adventureman’s family tree branches out, Power Fantasy’s “Second Summer of Love” explodes onto the scene, Saga’s second season concludes, Shadowhawk guests with the Blood Squad, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This is impossibly hard. The Power Fantasy (2024) #7 is one of my Top 10 comics promising a major, world-defining revelation. The Rocketfellers (2024) #4 promises to reveal more about what drives its lovable family. Saga (2012) #72 ends the second season of the powerhouse series! But for me, I think my most-anticipated book is Bug Wars (2025) #2 from Jason Aaron, Mahmud Asrar, Matt Wilson, & Becca Carey. Issue #1 was so perfectly developed both on the fantastical and human side of things, and it brought us right up to the point where those two worlds clash. I can’t wait to read more.

New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: DC Comics – March 5 2025

February 28, 2025 by krisis

Shazam (2023) #21, a DC Comics March 5 2025 new releaseNext week is the 10th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers DC Comics March 5 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering DC Comics February 26 2025 new releases.

This week in DC Comics: Dreamer joins the Secret Six, Shazam’s finale, a hunk of Tynion Batman in omnibus, Batgirl & The Birds of Prey, Teen Titans Go comes back, Plastic Man’s beginnings, Lakes vs Seas, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: Despite my absolute fervor for The Nice House by the Sea (2024) #6, I have to give my pick to Shazam! (2023) #21 – the final issue of the series. Josie Campbell found the heart and humor in this title over the past year in a way that made me reconnect with a love I have for the Shazam family that I often can’t locate in DC’s sometimes cynical uses of the characters.

This post includes every comic out from DC Comics March 5 2025, plus collected editions in omnibus, hardcover, paperback, and digest-sized formats.

This isn’t the typical comic releases post you can find on other sites. Why? I explain each collection and review every in-continuity series with a new issue out this week.
