Every Missing Justice League Omnibus, Mapped | 2025 Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus Poll

May 17, 2025 by krisis

Most Wanted DC Omnibus - Justice League Omnibus Mapping 2025It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Justice League omnibus that does NOT exist – and DC’s Trinity in omnibus – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

Through the end of May I’ll be covering DC entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your DC oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll on Near Mint Condition the first week of June.

Justice League is one of DC’s marquee properties to collect in omnibus, but that doesn’t meant there are no gaps to fill.

We have perfect coverage of the Pre-Crisis era save for one (or maybe two) volumes. And, Post-Crisis kicks off with three stunningly-mapped volumes. However, after that things get shaky for nearly 20 years until we hit New 52.

If Batman, Green Lantern, and Justice League occupy DC’s top tier of characters who get prioritized for omnibus coverage, Flash is not too far behind. DC has started (but not quite finished) omnibus lines for all his other major single-writer periods – William Messner-Loebs, Mark Waid, Geoff Johns, and Joshua Williamson.

Outside of completing those runs, what’s left? All of the Golden and Bronze Ages, plus a gap during New 52 and the period after Williamson. That means there are plenty of Flash book still to come even when DC completes all four of those popular periods.

Every Missing Batman Family Omnibus, Mapped | 2025 Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus Poll

What is the Batman Family? For this purposes of this post, it’s non-villainous members of the extended Batman cast who have three or fewer potential omnibus volumes to their name. This post covers Azrael, Batman Beyond, Batwing, Batwoman, Huntress, Ghost-Maker, Gotham Academy, and more!

What about the more popular and enduring members of the family? I made posts earlier today about Nightwing, Red Hood, & Robin(s) and Gotham City Sirens – Catwoman, Poison Ivy, & Harley Quinn. I’ll be back tomorrow with Batgirl & The Birds of Prey. And, all of DC’s Villains will be collected in their own post next week.

When it comes to Batman’s sons, only one of them has had a good year in omnibus – Dick Grayson AKA Nightwing. Yet, even with a pair of Rebirth era omnis out for Dick this year, all of his pre-Flashpoint material remains uncollected in everyone’s favorite oversize format save for one Bronze Age volume as Robin.

Meanwhile, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne have no solo omnis to show for themselves, and Jason Todd as Red Hood has just one (which was reprinted this year, so maybe DC is teeing up for a second one)!

If you want to see Batman’s boys in oversize format, you need to vote for their books!

New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: Image Comics – April 23 2025

April 19, 2025 by krisis

Power Fantasy (2024) #8, an Image Comics April 23 2025 new releaseNext week is the 17th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Image Comics April 23 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Image Comics April 16 2025 new releases.

This week in Image Comics: Medieval Spawn’s origins, Supermassive one-shots collected, Dust to Dust’s mid-series mystery, Duke vs. Cobra Commander, Power Fantasy’s Second Summer of Love turns to hate, a silent Roadblock, a dull assortment of Crises, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: I can’t pick anything other than The Power Fantasy (2024) #8, not only because the series is embedded in my Top 12 of 2025 every damn week but because this is the second half of a hotly anticipated tale revealing more of the background of what makes this super-powered world history so different than our own.

This post includes every comic out from Image Comics this week on April 23 2025, plus collected editions. This isn’t the typical comic releases post you can find on other sites. Why? I explain each collection and comment on every series with a new issue out this week to help you figure out if they’re for you.

Plus, for some long-running series and Image Comics imprints, I’ll point you to a personally-curated guide within the Crushing Comics Guide to Indie Comics to find out how to collect that title in full!

There’s no other website on the internet that can claim that.

And now, onto Image Comics April 23 2025 new releases!
