It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Suicide Squad omnibus that does NOT exist – plus other DC Teams including Doom Patrol, Outsiders, Challengers of the Unknown, and more – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

Through the end of May I’ll be covering DC entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your DC oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll on Near Mint Condition the first week of June.

This post covers Challengers of the Unknown, Checkmate, Dial H, Doom Patrol, The Forever People, The Green Team, Immortal Men, Inferior Five, Metal Men, The Movement, New Gods, Night Force, The Outsiders, Power Company, Sovereign Seven, Stormwatch, Suicide Squad, The Terrifics, Trinity of Sin, Uncle Sam & The Freedom Fighters, Watchmen, & WildCATs.

Suicide Squad started 2025 with just one omnibus – a Silver Age Volume – and now they have three. That’s great progress, but there are still many more runs to collect, including the back 2/3rds of John Ostrander’s landmark reinvention of the team from 1987.

But what about other DC teams? We’ve got only one or two more Doom Patrol omnis left to produce, depending on how you count. The Outsiders and Challengers of the Unknown still have nothing. And there are tons of other DC teams and groups to cover, like Checkmate, Dial H, Power Company, The Terrifics, and more!

Note that the biggest teams – Justice League, Justice Society, Legion of Super-Heroes, and Titans (along with Young Justice) – all got their own posts, so they are not included here.

It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Teen Titans omnibus that does NOT exist – plus Young Justice! – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

The Titans are a DC team with a massive amount of recognition and brand appeal, thanks to many fans growing up with the characters over the past 50(!) years and many of them finding their way into screen adaptations from many kid cartoons to a grim live action series.

However, when it comes to omnibuses, DC has a lot of work to do on the Titans line! We have the Silver Age covered, and the first massive swath of 80s material completely collected (re-collected, actually), but after that we just have Peter David’s Young Justice and a single Geoff Johns volume that leaves a series incomplete.

It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Shazam omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

Shazam is a hero that DC Comics adopted after battling original publisher Fawcett over the idea that Shazam (originally “Captain Marvel”) infringed on identifying elements of Superman.

That and other factors resulted in Fawcett shutting down their comics line in 1953, ending Shazam’s Golden Age run. DC later licensed the character in the 1970s (with his Golden Age history intact), though by that time Marvel Comics had their own “Captain Marvel” – which resulted in the character being renamed to his magic word: Shazam! However, in a Post-Crisis world, Shazam exists wholly in the DC Universe with a completely revised continuity. To learn more, check out my comprehensive Guide to Shazam.

DC has never printed a Shazam omnibus – not even to support his movies! That’s despite a keen collector interest in each of his eras and his modern relaunch being written by Geoff Johns, usually a sure seller in omnibus.

It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Legion of Super-Heroes omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

If there is one title that I think we messed up pretty thoroughly on the inaugural Tigereyes last year, it was Legion of Super-Heroes. And, that’s all on me.

Rest assured, we covered almost every Legion issue in our maps. But… did the titles make sense? Because, as I always say, this is a titles poll, not a mapping poll.

Imagine someone who has never read any X-Men looking at the X-Men’s publishing history and trying to think of broad, descriptive summaries of each period. Would they make any sense to massive X-Men fans? We might get a book titled “Uncanny X-Men: Storm – Powerless” that was meant to stand in for Uncanny X-Men (1963) #185-227. Except, no X-Men fan thinks of that run that way, and few of them would want it to start there.

Well, that’s how the LOSH titles looked on last year’s poll. So, this year I turned to two of my favorite Legionnaires for their expertise (who happen to be two of my best comic-reading friends): Lars from Mad Norwegian Press and Jess from Omnidog’s Vault! I am confident that this year we have covered even more issues, plus titled each book the way Legion fans will appreciate… although I don’t expect them all to agree. X-Men fans certainly don’t!

Every Missing Green Lantern Omnibus, Mapped | 2025 Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus Poll

It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every Green Lantern omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

If Batman is the obvious number one on the list of DC’s favorite comic lines to collect in omnibus, Green Lantern is in a race with The Flash for the number two spot.

Green Lantern got a relatively late start to the omnibus game, with his first modern material collected in 2015. Since then, we’ve had an explosion of books completely collecting Hal Jordan in the Silver Age, the Bronze Age, and in the decade from 2005-2015.

Yet, there’s still plenty left to vote on! We have a major Green Lantern gap in omnibus from 1979 to 2004, which includes Hal Jordan material as well as key stories for John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Kyle Rayner. And, DC’s collections of that modern material have been slightly messy, so we need some companion volumes to clean up the orphaned material before we can start looking at comics from 2016 and beyond.
