The Krisis Pick of the Week: Of course my pick is Absolute Martian Manhunter (2025) #2! Issue one was so damn good I wrote a whole song about it that I haven’t stopped singing for an entire month! But, there are a lot of great issues out from DC this week that I can’t wait to read. They’re crushing it right now.

The Krisis Pick of the Week: It’s is a very tight call to make this pick over two books resolving cliffhangers that have been on my mind all month, but I have to give it to Ultimate Wolverine (2025) #3 debuting Ultimate Gambit and Kitty Pryde! This book is becoming the de facto “Ultimate X-Men” since the actual Ultimate X-Men (2024) isn’t much of a traditional X-Men title. However, I very nearly picked Red Hulk (2025) #2 or Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) #15 given how both of their prior issues left off last month.

If you read issue #1 you’d understand – as did literally every person who read this book who chimed in during my live stream review last month. Tim Seeley, Zulema Scotto Lavina, Rachelle Rosenberg, & Ariana Maher are delivering something that’s incredibly fun and that feels entirely on-voice who Rogue was at the end of Claremont’s run.

I enjoy when Jason Aaron tackles kids as protagonists, I love the idea of a brutal bug war happening in your own back yard, and he’s assembled an astonishing creative team with Mahmud Asrar, Matt Wilson, and Becca Carey.
